WARNING This may be a bit of a long story but I think it is important. I have been going to the spot for approx 18 years. I have worked there several times, the last I was a manager. The owner fired me so his girlfriend can take over after he made her 40% owner. This is not my issue well not at this moment. I was in the spot I think it was Thursday Jane was working all was good I was having a great time with a good friend drinking fireball shots. Jennifer came on at 6 I do not remember much after that, until I woke up at my friends house around the corner. He said he got home I was passed out on bottom if his stairs my purse was downstairs. It was 7 am when I woke up I do not recall anything else do not remember leaving, driving, nothing. I went back in on Saturday and the security guard told me I was 86 d. I asked for what he said he had no idea. Not true he was there the eve in question. I called Mike the owner at home to ask why he said I stole keys off the bar when I left. I said no way I did not have any extra keys when I woke up. He said someone took them out of my purse when I was leaving. Now I would never let someone do that. I was 1) drugged or 2) served so much I blacked out. I been in bar business for a long time you may say I am a professional drinker I do not black out like that and not remember anything. When I worked there I made sure anyone who had too much to drink was offered a cab or a ride home. So now after all these years no longer do I want to go where I may be drugged but I no longer can because I was accused of taking keys off the bar. Mind you a couple stole my purse off the bar one time but were allowed to return back to bar. Be CAREFULL at THE SPOT!

I post this very carefully. Jenny, Jane and Vanessa have always given me perfect service along with the rest of south bay, orange and all county. The people that review my posting know," I very rarely say anything negative about anyone or place." However, this Sunday afternoon the locals playing pool, minus Jerry, cheated and played dirty pool. They should be ashamed of their selves and please stay away from me. The bartender on duty, out of thousands of transactions I have had with other bartenders, handled my transaction incorrectly. The bartender, like the cheating pool players, tried to blame me for her mistake. I give the place 5 stars because everyone else including Veronica tries very hard to make sure everyone is having a great time. This is my first complaint to the world in this line of work," Hope the bartender and the gentlemen involved really get the message." Lets see how the guilty parties handle it? especially the bartender. This is my local bar, very disappointed I had to bring this to everyones attention!

PATHETIC... wanted to play a few games of pool. however apparently when you play pool they require you to make a bar purchase. bartender told my friend hey you need to buy a drink, bartender has another guy come and say "hey you have to get a drink if you want to play pool here"....we left. are you kidding me, i can go to family billiards and put all my money into the game. think i will do that instead of going The Spot, which is actually a big Spot of _________ (u fill in the Blank)

Typical San Pedro dive bar filled with the usual suspects. Great place to let life pass you by. You will probably get to see while you are here: bums fighting, someone passed out drunk, someone puke in the street, someone get hit by a car, and maybe, just maybe, a stabbing! Be careful and have fun!

If youre not a regular here good luck getting service I find myself from time to time speaking to the bartender or bar back and still not getting no service for a long time regulars walk up and instantly get service a shame
