First but not last visit to this small, casual taqueria in out-of-the way Rio Linda. Had read the Sac Bee review and some negative reviews on Google and Yelp, so didnt know what to expect. What we found was wonderfully flavored meals: the carnitas was blissful, the al pastor equally and differently great, the salsas unique, even the ground beef burrito was special. I hadnt expected so much flavor and variety. And the corn tortillas, hot and steaming, were amazing. So it lived up to the Bees review, much to my joy. Servings were more than adequate, too. No problems with service, we came here on a Monday evening. Highly recommended, if you want unique (in Sacramento area) and delicious Mexican food.

Excellent Mexican food. The molcajete*, carne asada burrito and michelada are all on point. Two of the salsas are good, two are exceptional. (The salsa borracha and the salsa verde are alive with that smoldering roasted chili flavor that makes you eat too many chips before your food arrives). Dont let the location (mid 70s bargain strip mall with an "is it abandoned or isnt it?" feel) scare you away from a marvelous and memorable Mexican meal. *Yes, I know its insane to order a meat extravaganza in a sizzling hot stone bowl when its 100° outside and only slightly cooler inside. Thats why I had the michelada, see?

Bought super burrito, my friend got a quesadilla and soft tacos. We asked for grilled chicken. Chicken tasted boiled, not grilled, and not very savory. Neither the burrito, tacos, our quesadilla tasted savory. It was mostly just a plain chicken taste. Most likely the chicken was sauteed in its Own juice. I had several chicken bone chunks in my burrito and chicken skin/cartilage. The only reason I didnt give it 1 star is that its not these worst place Ive been to, and pouring lots of salsa all over it helped a bit. Overall not good food, not planning to come back. Wait time is kinda long too.

Service and the owner there today dont care its bad and i seen a guy walk out with a open beer and it say on the table no walking out with beer why they have that on the table if the mánager seen and didnt even say nothing or walk out to make the guy come back in......i had to get my own water and other people came in and server got them water teribble server ever name was marisol i paid 58.00 so expensive not happy at all with this visit

Tonight I had the worst quesadilla Ive ever had. It was a greasy lump of tortilla with over cooked chicken. It literally looked like it was soaked in oil. I am shocked because usually the food is good but the past few times Ive been disappointed. In the food prep. I threw part of the quesadilla out.

What a beautiful place with great food and service! Wow! Didnt expect this in the heart of old Rio Linda. They had live music while we were there that was perfect for their size. Great place! Also, I couldnt believe how cheap the food was relative to the quality. We will be back!

Their tacos al pastor are the best. All of their corn tortillas are hand-made and just like Gabriel Iglesias, theyre hot and fluffy. The facilities are a little rough. Its a hole in the wall for sure, but the staff is friendly and youll never find better Mexican food.

Hit or miss at this place. Heard its good, but have yet to experience it. I always get asada tacos, and the meat was pretty low grade, poorly cut with lots of fat and inedible parts. Id love to give them another chance, but why risk it.

Super good food, very large portions, really friendly staff. Had the chimichanga and my wife had 3 of their tacos. Also check out their fresh fruit drinks you wont be disappointed. Im definitely going back for more.

Just got back from there. I had the chili Verde. Good portions. Great food with homemade tortillas. Salsas are quite hot. My dad got the Diablo shrimp. It was so hot he could not finish it. Ill give it 4 stars.

Horrible service. Food was good but we didnt get our drinks until after our food arrived. The cashier couldnt count my change back in english. Flies everywhere. I wont go back or recommend to friends.
