she was very attentive and was on my coffee every time it was near empty. When my friend mentioned hed asked for a small but charged for a large orange juice, she was polite and understanding. 5/5 on service. That being said, the food was a far drop from even being mediocre. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. It included biscuits n gravy, 3 eggs (mine were scrambled), hashbrowns and an orange slice. All of the food was cold, and even had it been warm it was just plain bland. The hashbrowns were undercooked, the orange slice was dry and powdery instead of juicy, the biscuits n gravy were fast food quality, as were the eggs. The steak was a hit and miss. Every few bites it would taste good, but was followed by another few greasy bites. For the price, it was not worth it. $8.95 couldve bought me better tasting fast food. Overall, for being what it is, I will not be going back. As lovely as our waitress was, the food is bland and fast food quality. You might be better off just eating McDonalds for breakfast.

Ive had at LEAST 8 bad experiences there. The manager (unless she was lying) is "Lori" and only started treating me like a customer after I went to the restaurant with the SOLE intention of speaking to the owner about my bad experiences. I used to call-in an order for a cheese omlette and I got a ham-and-cheese omlette FIVE times. The last time it happened, I carefully explained that I wanted a cheese omlette and how I always got a ham-and cheese and I picked up my order, not checking it before I left, thinking that..."Naw...they couldnt possibly get it wrong this time." And when I got all the way home, I opened up the styrofoam container and almost had a heart attack because they DID IT AGAIN!!! I plan on never going there again.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and just looking for a good breakfast place within a relatively short drive from our hotel. This place was an amazing find. The food was great. We both had waffles, eggs, bacon, and sausage. They actually heat up the syrup (always a nice touch). The coffee and OJ were on point for a quick breakfast place. What I particularly loved (as Im a southerner) was simply how friendly everyone was. There were clearly a lot of regulars judging by the informal (and really funny) banter all around. Well definitely be back. If youre ever in the area looking for good food and friendly folks, hit this place up.

Five stars due to their awesome tasting enchilada omelet lol. I always get that because its very good as well as the biscuits and gravy. Everything seems really good tho. The service ive received from the waitress is pretty good. Prices are very reasonable and the amount of food is pretty darn good. They moved to a new building that is much nicer and seems bigger than their last building. Great place great food great service.

I cant say enough good things about this little hole in the wall place! The waffles are the best Ive ever had. The biscuits and gravy are second. The prices are the same as eating at a McDonalds or Arbys. Not too bad and you get way better food! If you order to go be prepared to wait about 20 minutes. The staff are really nice and very close knit. Youve got to try this place!!

I have been to this place twice now, both times very great experience. First time was with my fiance when I was hungry super early in the morning (Im pregnant lol). Food was great, plenty of it per plate. Then the second time was with my two kids, they have great sized kids meals and good daily specials. Will definitely be continuing to come back.

service was amazing and food was delicious. My server knew exactly when i was ready to order and was very attentive. She even let me substitute bacon for sourdough bread. Will definitely be going back. oh and prices are reasonable. I paid under $10 with a 20% tip and got eggs, a belgian waffle, and toast :)

The Sunrise was a very pleasant surprise. Behind its mom and pop look is an absolutely dynamite breakfast spot. My eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and my fiance raved about how good the pecan waffles were. The next time were in the Sacramento area we will 100% be back.

My favorite coffee shop. Nice people, good service and good food. Try the breakfast burrito or the strawberry waffle. The place has relocated to 10113 Folsom Blvd. Near ORiley Auto Parts. Same folks, same food. In the same building as Sunrise 2 Sunset Grill.

We eat here often! Food is cooked to order, and is fresh, you get good service and waitresses are friendly. Most have been there for almost eternity. The have moved from Zinfandel to Folsom Blvd. A smaller place, but busy all the time.

Overall everything was good. It would have been 5 stars if the yoke in my Eggs Benedict had not been hard. The service was fast. The server was extremely helpful to my wifes particular food preferences. We will definitely be back!

Ordered two meals, both were super salty and under cooked. The meal tasted like burnt onions. Impossible to eat. Both me and my wife has instant diarrhea. Still drinking like camels. Im disappointed.

Service was great. I had the spicy chickens wings and waffle special. Waffle was crisp and chicken wasnt spicy but seasoned well. Had a biscuit with gravy, pretty good too. Will go back again.

I had the linguica skillet and it was very large. If you like big portions you will like this place. The home fries were disappointing though. Basically they were the frozen food variety.

The service was excellent. The decor ok I guess but my waffle was not done. I dont think it was even Brown. They put way too much topping on it. If I come back again I may try the pancakes.

This is a cozy little diner-style restaurant. I had an ortega burger (with jack cheese & green chile) and it was really, really good. The tortilla soup was also excellent. (spicy good!)

This past week, I had breakfast (my first-ever visit) at this modest restaurant. The ground beef omelet with Swiss cheese and onions was great. Recommended.
