Discovered this coffee shop by accident, and thankfully it turned out to be really cool. Its located in a shopping center off Katella in the city of Orange. The inside is spacious, with plenty of seats. There is a counter where you can sit, tall and also shorter tables. The coffee is tasty. Most of their coffees are Direct Trade, but they have Fair Trade Items too which makes this coffeehouse cooler. They are also affiliated with the Rainforest Alliance which is a plus, another coffeehouse giving back to protect the earth. There were plenty of people sitting studying and having conversations the day I stumbled upon this place. The baristas were nice, friendly and helpful. There were pastries and other baked items, but hardly anything left. Oh well, thats for another time. The decor is simple, I like the chairs. Theyre different, unique and comfortable. If Im ever in the Orange County region again, I will definitely try to return!

I been going to Starbucks my whole life, a friend of mine told me about this place and man this place is legit! Bodhi leaf has won my money. Each speciality coffee is freshly roasted everyday and also bagged by hand for those coffee lovers at home. There coffee is directly sourced, buying from small family farms and import the coffee straight to their warehouse in anaheim. Every batch of coffee is roasted to high light and its specific flavor and roast profile. Ive had the pleasure meeting the founder Steve Sims and hes such a down to earth guy and definitely knows his coffee. Check this place for yourself, and "find the journey to the perfect bean".

Absolutely delicious drinks! Very good quality service and excellent coffee. Prices were just a little bit steep though. Overall it was a good experience! They only sell coffee by the pound, and I was hoping to just buy a little bit since its about $15 per lb. and I wanted to try multiple types. I wish they had coffee flights so I could try multiple kinds, but that isnt an option. This place is basically just an indie starbucks or coffee bean with more specialized coffee.

My fiance and I discovered this place while watching The Profit on cnbc tv. We decided since we live so close by we would give it a try. We were NOT disappointed! This is the BEST coffee ive ever had, and we even saw Steve, the beard, himself in the store! I will definitely be returning back for more! Pictured is a nitro cold brew, coffee frap and a growler with more nitro to take home. The prices are extremely reasonable and the aroma in the shop is impeccable!

Im not a big coffee guy. Ill get the occasional blended drink at Starbucks or McDonalds and call it a day. My gf and I decided to try this place as we were in the area for dinner. Ive gotta say they made the best frappe Ive ever had. It actually tasted like coffee and gave me a nice caffeine kick. My girlfriend also enjoyed her drink although I dont remember exactly what it was. The design of the place is pretty cool too. I cant wait to go back.

Awesome coffee... we ordered a caramel latte with soy. The coffee was smooth and flavorful. They dont make it super sweet like Starbucks which is refreshing. You get the full flavor of the coffee and did I say how awesome the coffee tasted? We also got an oatmeal raisin cookies which was super yummy also. Ambiance is excellent. Very earthy and sturdy furniture. You definitely have to visit this place if you are nearby!

This is a retail coffee house, a roaster and a green coffee bean retailer. They seem to do all three with great passion. The coffee house section in front was packed. I was there for the green beans warehoused in the back. These are quite hard to find locally. Their selection, prices and knowledgeable staff are outstanding. Ill be back.

The pedestrian coffee drinks such as an American are fantastic but the Sherpa is amazing. It was frothy, yummy goodness filled with nutrients + caffeine-perfect combo. The folks working there were so friendly that I would go back even if the Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders was mediocre but thankfully both the coffee and people are worth it.

In a sea of Starbucks and gas station coffee Bodhi stands out, and above. The place is in an odd location, but one you step inside youre swept away into what a good coffee place should be. Ive had to relearn what I liked in coffee because I didnt know it could be so flavorful (and not just burnt). With a visit.

Great shop and nice, knowledgable people. The coffee here is off-the-charts good! There are a plethora of brewing methods and many different roasts/beans to choose from. They do the basic coffee shop drinks well but if you want to get really serious about your coffee habit, this is the place to go.

Been to its original location, the main distribution warehouse, and fell in love with their business; even better with their first Coffee location opened. Cant to see this company expand withing the OC. Worth the 20 min drive to get my fresh roasted beans. Lots of variety. Great choices.

Came here once with a group for a coffee tasting. It was an enjoyable, fascinating learning experience. I would recommend this tasting regardless of your familiarity with coffee types, as these guys know their beans and have it down to a literal science. Their coffees not bad, either.

If you roast coffee, this is the place. If you truly LOVE coffee, you wont find a better cup of your favorite java in SoCal. Unbelievable amount of coffee sources and super knowledgeable staff. Dont forget to to pre-order your green beans - saves time and allows weekend pick up.

Bodhi leaf coffee traders is a true coffee haven for those that are tired of the high priced burnt coffee from Starbucks. This coffee is never burnt and had fantastic flavor. I have been buying green coffee and roasting it myself. This is a must for true coffee drinkers.

Portola has a reputation for fine coffees and does not disappoint. However, aside from the unique offerings in coffee brewing style, the quality is not so different from other good quality, smaller coffee shops. Recommended, but dont expect a revelation, just good coffee.

Great coffee for people who love coffee, as opposed to "drinks with coffee in them." Allows you to choose from multiple single origin coffees. I got a pour over, my husband an Americano, both drinks were excellent. The atmosphere is cool, quiet, and fun.

Great selection of fresh and roasted beans. They have the widest assortment of fresh beans for retail sale Ive found in Southern California. I roast my own coffee beans with a machine that I bought from them. Theyre very nice people too.

Favorite coffee! I would describe the atmosphere here as hipster with hints of steampunk decor :). The service is fast and friendly. They do their own roasting out in the open with a cool looking roasting machine.

Worst cup of coffee ever!! My 1st cup of Bodhi Leaf was terrible, either the beans used were Sour or it was brewed with Lemon Herbal Tea. Paid my associate for the wicked brew. 1st impressions last forever!
