Service from the wait staff was great, however we had two issues with our food. The first is that we ordered the linguini tutto mare, but they brought us linguini con vongole ( linguini with? clams... Which should be called linguini alla vongole). Not a big deal, you know, it happens. So we didnt say anything. However as we opened the clams up we found one that was full of BLACK GOO. We alerted the waiter and he quickly took it away and said they would fix the issue right away. Now the reason why I gave the place two stars begins. The manager came over and before we said a single word was VERY pushy and tried to repeatedly TELL us that having a rotten clam or two in the food was perfectly safe, and that it was normal but offered to "remake" the dish for us. First. At a restaurant of this "level", you NEVER tell the customer what they should do about the food in this sort of situation "the customer is always right". The level of decomposition in that clam was consistent with at least a week or more of decay. The sauce is cooked with these clams. That rotten clam would have leaked its decomposing juices into the rest of the dish. It was disgusting. To have the manager try to tell us that the food was safe and that this was "normal" actually worried me more than anything. Ive never once gotten clams this rotten from any restaurant. So I call BS. Then to top it off, when I mentioned that we hadnt even ordered this dish in the first place, he didnt believe me, and now they would actually have to re make the dish. I suspect even if we had asked to have the dish "re-made" that they would have just taken it into the kitchen and brought the same thing back out again. His attitude told me that he didnt really care about the customer, and only wanted to resolve the issue in the quickest, least expensive way possible. The manager or whoever this was, his attitude ruined the whole experience. To add to that, the quality of the food was sub par. Id say it was not much different from Olive garden, or some other major chain restaurant like the cheese cake factory, except the prices are about double that. Its obvious that theyre trying to offer an up scale experience, but at a minimum cost. Theyve cut corners and hired staff who are there to make it appear as though this were a high class dining establishment, but in reality its just a facade. A poorly executed facade. You would do yourself a favor to try somewhere else to eat. For instance we ordered the same dish at Pinos Trattoria in downtown Campbell the other night and it, the service, and the atmosphere were all excellent, while have far more reasonable prices. I give it two stars because the waiter was friendly and helpful and genuinely sorry for the mistake. His superior was the exact opposite and I will never go back here again.

This place is a "must see" even if it is not quite a "must eat". The food is not quite specacular but rarely disappointing---but the view is stellar! It is well worth the drive up the mountainside to reach this quaint, somewhat aging historical restaurant! Watch out for the parking lot to the right, just below the road level at the point where the grade begins to level out. Plan to arrive before dusk so that you can be seated and order while the sun sets, and you will still be there to capture the lights of the whole South Bay! The interior is on two levels, separated just enough so that even if your table is in the interior of the dining room, you have a pretty good view out the windows to the West. The owner/operators are a pair sweet sisters, nearly genuine antiques themselves, who pay great attention to detail and finesse in the food (even if not the cholesterol levels). My wifes favorite is the Steak Diane, and mine is the Salmon. We are never dissapointed on those items. The chicken breast is prepared skin on--makes it nice and succulent for a gourmet taste but has a yuck-factor for my wife. You can find more perfect faire down in the valley but no more perfect views during your dining experience. Bring out-of town guests to show off the valley, and they will not be disappointed.

We had another fantastic dining experience. The views are stunning from inside the restaurant, but we opted to sit on the patio and had an unobstructed view to the entire Bay Area. Dinner was booked for 6:30 because we wanted to watch the susnset. As soon as it cooled down a little in the evening, the staff was quick to light the heat lamps for us. I had the "pollo parmigiana" again because I loved it so much the first time. Appetizers we tried were the cheese / meat charcuterie and a polenta with gorgonzola treat. My friends raved about their prime rib. We finished with the cheescake and tiramisu. Both were great , but the cheescake was the clear winner. As we finished dinner, 3 deer walked up the fence below and we took a few pictures. Excellent wine/ beer selection, a great bar, and live music inside. Well be back! :)

The new owners have done a fantastic job of returning the Grandview to its proper standing. This is the only restaurant to have sweeping views of the entire South Bay. Watching the sunset, followed by the city lights is just amazing. While there are some things we miss about the old Grandview, this new and improved version is extremely welcome. The food is predominantly Italian, with great pastas, seafood, salads, and steaks. The service is excellent, and the staff very attentive and enjoyable. They do as much farm to table as possible, from their own farm, right across the street from the restaurant. Needless to say, salads are fresh and wonderful. Its not cheap, and a bit of a drive to get to. Go anyway. You will be very glad you did.

#1 Top of the line restaurant and highly recommended by everyone else. Go here at least once, in your life. Guarantee youll go back! A great, delicious and affordable menu! They have a great cook and a lovely crew. The environment is always clean, calm and professional. The service is fast, caring and on point. Their appeal always clean and classy. Tuesday and Wednesday evening, bring your date and special someone or wife, alone or with children! Francisco is on the piano! Thursday-Sunday bring your coworkers and friends, or someone to drink with. Enrique is, at the bar, making your night "unforgettable." My favorite place to go dine at or relax and get away from everything else. Its a home away from home! <3

Rude staff. Rude management. Average food. I would prefer tacobell to their steak. They think they are a 5 star, top notch restaurant and treat you like youre just scum thats blessed to be eating at their highly esteemed establishment. I was NOT impressed with their food, drinks/prices or service. When one of the chefs was being rude and I told him I was going to speak to the manager he actually told me that he "ran this place and nothing would happen". I would not recommend them to anyone. Almost got in a fist fight with the "manager" who is obviously the owners 20 year old son who has a power trip. He must not realize the customers are the ones who pay the bills for his daddys establishment.
