I am very disappointed with my experience. I never felt compelled to write a review, but my experience was so horrific I needed to share. We came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my sisters news of getting into law school. We came for oyster shooters only to find out that they did away with them. We then decided to order half a dozen of oysters instead, at approximately 9:00 and this becomes important later. Our server, Jessica, was then asked to bring us four shots of Grey Goose vodka. She came back and gave us some cheap vodka shots, which was probably their house or well vodka. Knowing the taste of Grey Goose vodka, we voiced our concern with our server Jessica who said that the bartender was "their best"and assured her it was Grey Goose. On the contrary, it was an unanimous consensus that it was clearly not Grey Goose. Then, still frustrated, we voiced our concern with the manager, Victor, who showed a lack of any interest to be of assistance. Last time I checked when you dine at a restaurant, you should be ensured quality service, but Victor made us feel unimportant as customers. Three hours had past, without exaggeration, and they still have not brought us our half a dozen oysters. The server, Jessica, came by to ask us for our last last for food. We had asked her for our oysters and she seemed so lost and said she had put in the order and charged us for it, yet there were no signs of our oysters for three hours. Again, it was frustrating and we told Victor, the manager, whose response was that it was coming out. We as the customers had to complain for him to even comp the oyster, it literally was like pulling teeth and was very poor behavior for a manager. I was so frustrated, annoyed, disappointed and sadden that we chose this place to celebrate my sisters important night. I will not be returning!!!!!

Worst service ever. August, 5 2017 12:30am I call and talk to Ami. She say that last food call will be at 1:30am I show up before then. I order 2 tuna tártara, 1 white filet with asparagus and sashimi salad. 1:51pm come in the food, at the same time the cleaner guy start to put the bleach in the floor and mop . I complain with the manager with the glasses , oriental guy. 1:55am another guy start to mop again next to me. Im about to get asma . I complain again with the manager and he say that he dont care , because he will quit soon and he just went to hide hisself . Im a regular client , and I never see this manager before, Im so disappointed. I use to come 2 to 4 times every week to eat in this place, with my employees. 1:58pm the tea pot come in , it is all dirty . Check out the pictures. Worst service, irresponsibility is n1 in this place. Dirtiness and "I dont care" , thats the feeling this place transmit me. Ill make sure to do not make my money circulating in this place and keep family and friends away Shame at the management How long this place will be open? I give less than 2 years Before they will shut the place down

Best host and best servers! Great atmosphere and yummy sushi (could be better if they added avocado or cucumber/carrots to some of their rolls). We got the Red Dragon which was small for $15 but it tasted fresh - very little avocado that we could barely see it. We also ordered the Rainbow Roll ($15)- fresh on the outside but the crab filling of the roll was probably fake, too salty and too much. We love sushi and we usually avoid places that overuse crab meat to stuff their expensive rolls. We also ordered Volcano Roll ($15) and it was ok but again, not the best we have had...for the amount of money they charge for each roll, they should put more than one ingredient inside (not just crab meat or spicy tuna but also add some cucumber etc). The server made our experience very amazing (I wish we didnt forget his name but Ill edit the post once I get it). He was very polite and helpful, very attentive with our table and very pleasant to talk to. The host was also super nice and full of smiles! (Very opposite of the host at Octopus)

Came for a late night HH with friends. We ordered the wings, salmon sashimi in ponzu, spicy yellowtail roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All were delicious and the fish were fresh. I cant get enough of the salmon in ponzu! The HH cocktail menu is pretty good. They added several new flavored vodka w/a variety of mixers to the list. I got to taste the peach flavored vodka mixed with cranberry. That drink tasted like a starburst! Daaaaangerous!!! Service was just ok. Got greeted by one server who dropped our plates and utensils when greeting us. She then left and never came back. Another server greeted us but thought we were done then came back and apologized for assuming. At that point on service just went downhill. Could it be because of the auto 18% gratuity on a party of 6 or more? Quite possibly.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with my girlfriend. The restaurant itself is beautiful, I almost felt under-dressed because the atmosphere was so elegant! We ate at around 4 o clock, so we got to experience the awesome Happy Hour Specials. When we went there was plenty of seating, but the restaurant also lets you make reservations via OpenTable. I myself snacked on the egg rolls and dumplings, while my girlfriend enjoyed two plates of sushi. We each had a beer and shared some edamame, and the price was incredible. The food was delicious, the egg rolls in particular melted in my mouth. Highly recommended asian-fusion spot in downtown long beach. If you are trying for the first time, go Monday-Wednesday between 3pm-11:30pm for happy hour prices on small food, sushi plates and drink specials.

This place has a Las Vegas feel. It is huge, has style, but most importantly it has the taste! From great Sushi to even better main dishes. The honey walnut shrimp is incredible and the Pad Thai is the best around. I recently tried their Teppan grill. I am not really a big fan of Teppan grills,( I think all places basically taste the same) But this place is different. I dont know if its because they used top level vegetables and choice cuts of meat, but this was far and away the best Ive ever had. WOKCANO is a must!! Happy hour goes from 3-7 and I hear the prices are reasonable. What is really cool is the upstairs loft for drinks and Sushi in a dark lounge setting.

Absolutely LOVE this place! I worked here a while ago and I miss the food. The ambiance is great and the staff pays very good attention to details. I would recommend taking advantage of the lounge specials and the cocktail prices. The dining room is great for a nice romantic evening and they also have an upstairs available for events or catered get togethers. If anyone is in the area and want to enjoy some asian cuisine, this is the place! Sushi, orange chicken, desserts, duck, you name it, they probably have it!

Great sushi!!!!! Absolutely loved this place! The sushi was great, the staff was great, the prices were not too bad at all and I actually really loved the dark and dreamy ambiance of the restaurant. We were just visiting the area and really wanted sushi, Im glad we picked this place instead of the other sushi place about a block away, there is nothing I could complain about. Fun specialty drinks and a nice bar. My favorite roll was the "Crunchy Roll"
