Recently moved within walking distance, and have visited twice in the past week. Our party found the guacamole VERY disappointing. Chips were overcooked or stale, reminded me of a hard pita chip. On the flip side, my burrito was wonderful, and the rest of my party seemed happy with their entrees. One person in my party ordered only beans no rice as side, but was served double rice. Decor was nice, restaurant was clean, staff was pretty friendly and knowledgeable, though the server on visit 2 didnt know the special. Pricing was about average for this type of restaurant (most entrees $9 -$13). Though we sat in the main restaurant, the bar area looked active and inviting. I would go again ONLY because it is walking distance. I wouldnt go out of my way to come here.

Very good happy hour I can eat quite alot yet two of their shredded beef tacos fills me up. My family and I have been eating there for years with only one bad experience we had only all ate chips and salsa commonly and few happy hour drinks then went our separate ways, only to receive a bonus gift from what im guessing must have been the Salsa as it is uncooked of course and each of us Had the worst Squirts for 3=5 days accompanied by severe abdominal pain cramping., most likely due to a food handlers lack of washing their hands after Crapping Deuce then coming back and cutting onions and the tomatoes. but aside from that and occasionally a stray hair in your food which im sure could happen anywhere 4 out of 5 stars.

We had reservations for party of 13 and one of our guest in wheelchair with his mobility service dog was not allowed. We asked to be seated in the patio and still refused us. La Capilla staff wanted us to have the service dog tied outside not inside not in patio area but outside. A family owned restaurant not knowing about special assistance dog BIG TROUBLE. We left the place. NO WAY I WILL NOR OUR FAMILY WILL EVER RETURN.

The chip & salsa are great, as well as their soups: tortia and albondigas (meatball). My personal favorite entree is chicken ixtapa: chicken breast surrounded by rice, refried beans, cheese and a delicious sauce. The restaurant is a step above casual, and the food is not pricy. I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience.

We have been going here for many many years its a mexican restaurant with good food, good drinks, a great bar area and a banquet room used for private parties. Its spread out and it has a great feel to it. Its been around for 25 years plus so if it wasnt any good it would not have lasted this long. 2 thumbs up La Capilla!

Wife and I have been coming here for over ten years, love the food and especially their salsa. But man a while back they raised their prices significantly, and basically the price just isnt worth it anymore. Most plates are 15-20 dollars, and as much as I love their food, the quality does not match the price tag.

I can see why this place gets stuck great reviews. Great burrito! Its a little more than most Mexican places but it does come with a good amount of cheese and avocado which is typically more at other places. I also had the Jamaica drink (hibiscus) and it was really good and fresh. I love a place with good drinks.

First off, there was a hair in the salsa, as soon as we got our chips, I put a chip in and saw the hair, then I ordered an enchilada (which was bland and not cooked thoroughly) and taco (the shell broke apart before I even ate it) Worst little mexican restaurant ever. Do Not Eat Here

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE La Capillas. They offer the best happy hour specials (1.99 tacos and yummy margaritas). They also have a really nice outdoor area that is smoker friendly with tvs that are always playing whatever game is on. All the servers are great and very friendly.

Nothing special and nothing terrible to report. This place is average at best, you won’t leave excited but won’t leave disappointed. If you live nearby its convenient but don’t go out of you way for this place. I would say its a bit pricey for what you get.

Im not the type to leave a review but I must say the food here is really good. I ordered Camarones a la Diabla and omg it was good. The waiters were very nice and took good care of us and they are hot like the salsa on my camarones...

My wife and I have been coming here for years. Perfect for just the two of us or for family gatherings of 10 or more. We have had two wedding rehearsal dinners for 30 in their private room. Obviously we love their food.

This place sucks. They put alldpice in their enchilada sauce. Tastes so nasty. Guacamole is premade and gross. Flan is not made fresh. It is just out of a premade cup and put on a plate. I would not recommend this place.

Its a nice Mexican restaurant. I prefer hole in the wall places as the food is just as good and cheaper, but sometimes its nice to just sit down and relax. The food portions are good and the food itself is good.

Food is ok, 4 slices of chicken and 3 shrimp for a shrimp fajita price $19.99 they serve more rice and beans than the actual meats. The price is a bit high or else it wouldve a 4.5 star rating.

The worse Mexican Restaurant in HB... we were not happy with our dish and we wanted something different and the manager refused, and he called the police..terrible customer service.

No. I will admit the decor was lovely but the meal was an absolute mockery. Mexican food? I ordered the chicken in mole sauce and I was served chicken strips and a 15 second sauce.
