Best sushi experience I have had in Folsom. The size of the rolls here are great and even their most basic rolls are filled with satisfying flavor. The customer service is excellent and the experience for me and a few friends on a time crunch was smooth and fast. I will say that I have had sushi that has tasted better but that the customer service and environment is miles above those places. I would highly recommend Mikunis to anyone and if you have a decent size group with you get the party platters. Platter B is my groups favorite.

Ive always loved the Mikuni locations but I have been let down on the last visits, today at the Folsom location. My appetizer, soft shell crab, had 0 taste...fried is all I could taste. They explained that cooking it this way takes the crab taste away...funny, Ive never seen this to be true elsewhere. My selection for lunch wasnt much better - in taste or quality for an expensive dish. Ill be continuing my sushi experiences @ Wasabis down the street (They were closed today...I should have just gone home when I saw that).

My first time there was wonderful. There were plenty of tables available. We didnt get immediate seating.. but we opted for Sushi Bar seating. How can such a wonderful restaurant not take reservations for a Birthday party? Really bad customer service / hosting when they answered the phone and could not be accomodating for a Birthday Party Reservation. We will be going to the Pearl Asian Restaurant at the Red Hawk Casino instead. They were supremely accommodating and helpful to a wonderful Birthday evening.

I have been going to mikuni for over 20 years. Not once have I ever had a complaint or issue. I love them. My issue is the fact that they are letting people bring dogs to the restaurant. Not service dogs. Just narcissistic dog owners who feel it is their right to have other peoples nights ruined by a yapping dog during the meal. For the love of all that is holy people. Leave the damn dog at home for an hour. Mikuni, shame on you for allowing this self indulgent behavior

So happy to see a Mikunis in Folsom finally! Opened November 7th. Mikunis is by far the best sushi restaurant in all of Metropolitan Sacramento. Been going to their restaurant on Hazel Avenue and in Roseville for many years. The new one is very nice and easily accessible. I got the Benjamin Roll and it was even better than I had before in Roseville. The restaurant is very nice, not as fancy as Roseville... but Very trendy. Nice covered outdoor seating with heating lamps.

It started off in the wrong direction. Black people seated in the back and no one was back there. We asked to sit where the action is. She had no problem doing it. That was goo but then came Jordan. Can I just say AWESOME!! She knows her sushi, friendly, quickly asked the right questions to ensure a great meal. Can u have more of her? I looked around and watched the other servers. They did not compare. If u want a great experience, ask for Jordan

Friendly service staff. Good food. Honestly, Im super picky with ramen since I know what a good ramen is like, and theirs is satisfying enough when I have a tonkotsu ramen craving and dont want to drive to downtown Sac. The rolls are also tasty, and so is the garlic edamame. By the way, my friend is also a ramen buff, but wasnt a fan of the miso ramen. It was a bit bland in comparison to the tonkotsu ramen.

Had a great time with a party of 6. Atmosphere was new and hip and gluten free accommodations for my wife. Had a great time with the food and server was great! When we come back we will stop back by, its totally worth it. I could see how seating might be an issue during dinner hours, but we sat right down as a group of 6 at 5 pm on New Years Eve.

Popular place! We had about a 45 minute wait even on a Sunday evening and the place was pretty packed. I had the ramen and a hand-roll. Both were pretty delicious though a little expensive. We had our 1 and 2 year olds with us and they had plenty to eat as well. Lively atmosphere but not so loud you cant hear each other talk. Wed go back!

Fantastic experience! I have eaten sushi a few times in the past, and never liked it! Came to Mikuni Japanese restaurant and absolutely loved everything I ate!! My absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the world. I have traveled all over the world for sushi, including Tokyo and love the variety, freshness and delicious offerings from Mikuni. Overall they have a very consistent menu in all of their Sacramento locations and they never disappoint.

Coming from the East coast, this place has ruined sushi for me. It is just too perfect here. Every roll, nigiri, and sashimi was the best Ive ever tasted. Our chef Mineki was a pleasure to be served by. I will certainly be returning to this place as often as humanly possible.

Well the new Folsom Mikunis is up and running and its clear that the residents of Folsom and Eldorado Hills are excited. They were packed with families and friends with lots of sushi loving kids everywhere! Get here early or come late after a movie and the kids are asleep!

I always get the 4 course when I go here. My mom loves the desserts. Service is great but they sat us in the corner by the bathroom and kept closing the blinds so I couldnt watch the football game. A little annoying but they were having lunch so it makes sense.

Consistently excellent Mikunis at a new location in Folsom. Great food - always ask for the fresh fish list. Fresh uni served sashimi style - wow. Super attentive wait staff, both kind and knowledgeable. Lovely decor, outside seating was quieter and heated.

First time ever have I had poor food at Mikunis. BBQ red & white tuna was fishy smelling and tasting. We sent it back. They gave us another one and it was way over cooked and smelled fishy. Only takes one time for me not to trust sushi.

Great food and great service, plus comfortable environment. We had the "feeds 2 for $45" and it worked out great. Even in mid-January, their lively patio seating was warm with the outdoor heaters working really well. We will be back.

Theyre definitely main stream and know it, and their newest location is no exception. The staff though Id still as friendly and knowledgeable as all their locations, and the nigiri and rolls were as always, delicious.

Just like every other Mikuni, its good but crowded! The location can have some traffic to get to it, and dinner time is always packed, but at least the parking lot at this one wont be full!

The sushi is surprisingly fresh for being so far from the ocean! The cooked dishes and rolls are innovative and interesting. Its usually very busy, but the service is fast and efficient.
