My grandmother, mother, and I went in this morning to grab some croissants for a family breakfast. As they approached to order 7 croissants for all of us, we were told they couldnt sell us that many. Who does this bakery think they are? Refusing to sell these simple croissants to a family that will enjoy them and pay just as much for them as anyone else? It does this company no good to sell us seven or rather sell them in "smaller portions" to two or three other people. They eventually let us buy seven croissants, but not until over five minutes of heckling us and starting an argument to refuse service that makes no impact on this bakery. This was embarrassing to have go through with my family. Customer service needs some changes in this bakery....

Well, Im changing my review. I bought some food, and other things (socks, and gloves) but because of their machines, it never went through. It all got voided, and I thought that was the end of it. Until I got charged for the food even though Im not allowed to take it. I go back trying to get the refund or sandwiches after its done processing in my account, and because of a new girl I was never given the receipt for the food. They go back to try and figure it out, and once again the computers arent working. The only redeeming quality is they gave me new sandwiches today but kept my name and number in case "something happens" At this point Ill pay for another 2 just to be finished with all this. This will be my last time shopping at The Farm.

I was followed around the cafe/shop while waiting for my food. I believe that if I wasnt Mexican then this wouldnt have been the case. I confronted the white lady following me and she seemed embarrassed. What I want to say to you is how do you think it makes me feel when the color of my skin determines if I am being followed ? Being an educated Latina and experiencing this first hand has to be by far the worst. One enters UCSC and programs like the LALS department that teach us what creates these forms of racism and oppressions just to be treated like dirt. Needless to say I wont be returning to this racist establishment.

The Farm offers a very wide variety of both food items and gift items. The Club sandwich is great: it has nitrate-free bacon and THREE slices of bread. Maybe too much mayo for some tastes. Their pastries are divine. I recommend the lemon bars. The prices are steep but become reasonable when you know whats behind the product. On the topic of gift items, they have everything from handcrafted soap to skull shot glasses, bamboo baby onesies to Buddha candles, mermaid earrings to childrens books. Definitely a top family choice. Make sure not to go when its crowded, the space is limited.

One of the fun things about "the farm" is the very cool gift shop - it surrounds as you walk in, as you wait in line to order at the counter, and then after youve placed your order, its a great way to spend a little time while youre waiting for your food. Its a lot packed into a small area, and a lot of it is unusual/high quality - such as great handmade-type cards for all occasions, jewelry, hats, scarves and tons of neat stuff. Food is good, and they allow dogs (on leash) on the front patio. Yay!

Very unprofessional and disrespectful on the phone asked questions and they could not give me answers , was treated very poorly by staff who continuously starred me down as if I was a threat , terrible experience , I noticed I was the only minority in the store I was treated differently than other folk , place is a joke , food okay not great, prices unreasonable, staff made me feel uncomfortable , I suggest eating somewhere else if you want your moneys worth

This place is delicious and a treasure. They have a huge Menu - quiche, cold pasta salads, hot or cold sandwiches and tons of baked goodness. I had the chicken, pear, apricot with cheddar cheese hot sandwich. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the combo of fruit with it was right on. I will definitely remember this place when I have visitors in town or need a gift for someone.

Mom and pop style cafe. The knickknacks and crafts drove me crazy. Lots of pastry cases that are mostly empty. Of the baked goods that were displayed they looked good. They have a full sandwich menu. Lots of seating inside and outside. Inside tables are covered in cheap plastic table clothes. My grandma would love this place, but I will pass next time.

Always a treat! We love the Farm so much! We frequent the Farm usually on Sundays after church where its always a gamble to find a seat since they are so busy. :) Their breakfasts are a simple menu and made with pure love! Their homemade bread is amazing and I like to purchase it to make the best PB&Js for my son at home....he loves their bread!

Their fruit tartes are amazing, but its really annoying how the only way they wont add kiwis is if someone is allergic to them and you have to pay in advanced through the phone.. Were paying for the fruit tarte to be made, why is it so hard to not add something simply because of the customers preference..

Tried the carrot cupcake, and chai latte and they were good. The cupcake had real cream cheese frosting! Thats un-heard of! The curio shop is a nice addition to the cafe, just wish they had larger gift mugs (15 oz) to purchase. I found a sweet dog biscuit container for a good price!

This restaurant fails to shine and with a captive college audience they have such potential. Having been both an employee of and a customer I can say that the Farm failed me in both regards. They underpay the help, overcharge the customer, and their food is unremarkable at best.

Had a nice lunch at The Farm with my Dad, which has become a regular place for the two of us. Its not real kid friendly, in terms of simple sandwiches, but of course the desserts always make up for that.

I ❤ the Farm! I go there for lunch every day. Eggs Benedict and Cobb salad are the best. Soup is good too, especially if youre on a budget. Their shop has great cards and gift items too.

I have dined in only twice, and both times I fell sick. I have a feeling that if the food were better, then it would fit the bill; otherwise, its way too overpriced.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Prices are high so I only come once in a while. Their quiche are yummy and the grilled chicken/pear sandwich is heaven!

Great food. Suggest you double check the hours. Showed up at 6:03 and although Google says open until 6:30 ..sign on door says summer hours open until 6.

Tasty breakfasts and baked goods with good portion size to cost ratio. Pastries can get a bit pricey but are delicious and worth the occasional treat.
