Monkey Thai is a very casual, to-go restaurant with standard Thai fare. I ordered the yellow curry with seafood combo. The combo comes with your choice or white or brown rice, a Thai iced tea, a salad, and a veggie egg roll. The staff was really nice and the whole meal only cost $15. The combo is pretty big so I took it to go and had it for dinner another night. Their location is not the best. Theyre on the west end of Alameda, which doesnt have much going on. If you want quick food and youre hungry, stop on by!

Just what you want from a neighborhood Thai restaurant. The food is good, portions substantial and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Plus they have a fish tank, which is perfect for entertaining small children. In fact my wife and I have probably become too dependent on Monkey Thai. We now have to think carefully about alternative restaurants just so that we dont wear out our welcome.

The best seafood salad in town. And the summer roll was large and quite tasty too. But the prices are higher than average. You definitely Pay a bit more for a bit more food. Dining Room is small and relatively clean. Dont be put off by The ugly 1960s looking strip mall. And the location is not optimum either - - outside the old Nas Alameda navy base. But, if you eat here you wont leave disappointed.

Their location is very low traffic, but a short walk from where I live. The food is good (I ate there) and very inexpensive. They give a 10% discount if you pay in cash, and charge a small fee if you use card. Bring a $10 bill and get large portions of curry, rice, salad, and vegetable rolls with a Thai iced tea.

The 3 stars is for the service and food and price, not over price, but location to restroom is very inconvenient, have to walk around the building to a parking area to use restrooms no so safe area specially if your a woman. But the service and food is great...
