The best pies (and pot pies, too) Ive ever had, hands down!!!! (Especially the fruit (Apple) pies ) ......Sorry Grandma!! p.s. Its funny how some people have to complain just for the sake of complaining. The woman who called it "ridiculous" that they wanted her to bring the pie in because she was never offered a receipt (Ive been there dozens & dozens of times and am ALWAYS asked if I would like a receipt) apparently thought that request outrageous. What should they do, just give her money back on faith? Whats to stop anyone from walking in & saying that they bought a pie here & it tasted wrong so give me a refund. Ill guarantee you that no retail store would comply with such a request. Ive gotten to know Darin & his family since he opened up this pie shop. He is an extremely hard working, kind, honest man who cares about his business & his community. If someone had a problem, I cant see him not doing whatever it took to make it right. So, instead of being so quick to judge off of one single experience, perhaps employing just a little human cooperation & not letting our egos dictate our actions, we could all grow as people and be that much better off while still being satisfied.

I met Darin while netwalking the area. At the time I was the new store manager at the local Big O Tires store and wanted to introduce myself to the local business. I also facilitate a local business networking group that meets at Sossaman and Baseline. Our group is planning on meeting at Pies and More February 11th at 11:30 to 12:30 Darin has a great personality and his staff members were very warm and welcoming. We purchased a chocolate cream pie and each took one bite and had to throw it away. It was not even edible. It did not even taste like chocolate. It had the strangest taste. We called to inform them of our disappointment and were told to bring in the receipt, I explained we were never offered a receipt. She then said I could bring in the pie. Which I told her again it is in my trash. She said i should still bring it in so they can see what is wrong with the pie. That is just ridiculous.

Picked up a Cherry Pie last Friday evening. Being late in the day, they still had a nice variety of pies to choose from. When we lifted it, we couldnt believe how heavy it was. This was a wonderful pie--great flaky crust and amply filled with sweet tart cherries. I couldnt make a pie this good, and such a great value. Try one or more, you wont be disappointed!
