A restaurant with a real split personality, a humble pizza / sub shop up front, with fine italian food in the rear (okay, its the same menu no matter where you sit). Meals start with a bread basket (squares of tomato pie and rolls). Soup of the days was Escarole w/ meatballs (Italian Wedding Soup) and was delicious. The Fettuccine Bolognese with a blush sauce was also delicious. Perhaps the curse of anyone with Italian in their blood, people end up comparing food to their own families cooking, and in that regard I found the eggplant parmigiana lacking (not that I fault them for it). Appropriately enough there is a "mom" keeping her eye on things, making sue everyones happy. Business seems to have picked up since the Carabbas in the front has closed. Sitting in the front you get to watch them hand spin the pizzas. They were also cranking out 30" round pizzas (which works out to more that 3x the size of 16" pie - I think I know what were getting next "guys night").

The pizza is absolutely delicious!! Im from Staten Island NY so I know what real pizza is supposed to taste like. This was spot on, BEST pizza! Sicilian is super delicious. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce, not dry but not super saucy. Dont go anywhere else this is a REAL ITALIAN pizza and pasta place. They also have this HUGE pizza pie they call a mega pizza and it IS MEGA! one slice is probably equal to 2 large slices maybe 2 1/2! They arent cheap either, I can tell they put money into that restaurant to make it look neat, clean, and classy. They even have parking signs for quick pick up or take out only so you can park right up front and get in and out. 10 Stars!!!

I have enjoyed all of their vegetarian pizzas - spinach with ricotta was especially great. Today I had time to eat a full sit down lunch and ordered a proscuitto and mozzarella panini, which was delicious. Soup of the day was sausage and broccoli rabe in home made chicken broth, which was especially good. I highly recommend this place. It has all the traditional dishes people eat - anything from their fast selling regular pizza to a hoagie or a hamburger. Yet they care about serving a good variety of traditional Italian foods. People who run it are very nice to customers. This place is a gem !

Weve been to this new restaurant 3 times now and we continue to be impressed. Impressed with the service and, most importantly, with the food. My Italian Mother was an excellent cook and her cooking is the standard by which I judge all Italian restaurants. Not too many come even close to my Mothers cooking. Toninos, however, meets and exceed that high standard. From home made pasta and gravy (sauce to you non-Italians) to meat balls and sausage, Toninos wont disappoint. We strongly recommend this fine family owned establishment.

Dont be fooled! We thought it was an ordinary pizza place and were delighted to find it was way more. Freshly made capellini pasta and an amazingly delicious and complex veal marsala. WOW! Yes, you can get great pizza, but this Italian chef can also dazzle your taste buds! My husband and I were looking for a late dinner after a long day and stumbled into Toninos. We both wished we had arrived with a bigger appetite. We took our dessert to go and that chocolate covered cannoli was to die for!! Just go!

Family run place. Great fresh pasta and ingredients. Not so great attitude when ordering or inquiring about their menu in detail. Ive experienced arrogance when discussing their menu on three occasions with the staff. Perhaps the responses are justified. However, its basically, sit down, shut ur pasta hole and well serve you our best. Not a dining experience where I can relax. Just get take-out and get out.

we work right across the street and ordered two salads. They told us it would be 15 minutes. almost an hour later we finally received our food, just in time for us to close so we couldnt even enjoy our meal. Neither the delivery boy or the girl who answered the phone could offer a reason as to why it took so long. absolutely horrendous customer service, do not waste your time ordering from here.

This place has really good food and service. not a fancy place but the food was top notch. Service was classy enough. Does not try to be pretentious but does everything right. I was there with several people born in Italy and they also enjoyed the food. Felt authentic. The homemade pasta was outstanding. Probably the best homemade pasta Ive had.

I went here with my wife and disabled veteran son on 8/12 after walking out the Friendlys restaurant just down the road (no one ever came to out table to take our order). The waitress at Toninos was very friendly and sweet. The pizza was FANTASTIC!!!! We will definitely come back again. Thank you Friendlys for being such jerks!!!!

This place has some of the best food Ive ever had, anywhere. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Excellent wings, puts BWW to shame. The red snapper was simply incredible. Fast service. Nice, friendly staff. If you like pasta, pizza, or wings, you should give this place a try.

Went with another couple based on the recommendations of other friends. This place did not disappoint. Food was great, generous portions, gracious hosts all at an excellent price. Looking forward to trying the pizza. See you again soon!

A true gem hidden in a strip mall. "Best in the area" does not due it justice. They would be great in any area! Attentive service and truly excellent food. They put love into everything that they do. Highly recommend!

This place is pretty standard for a Philadelphia (or NJ) strip-mall pizza parlor. Pizza by the slice for work time lunch hour is pretty good. I certainly wasnt blown away by anything all that special.

Pizza is tasty, always a good selection of pies ready. Full menu of Italian food and great service. They make their own pasta from scratch every day, and it is marvelous. Try it youll love it.
