We regularly check in with reviews before trying a new restaurant, and saw the poor rating for Tasty Made. My boyfriend still REALLY wanted to try it, chalking the bad reviews up to the restaurant just not having all the kinks worked out yet. We drove down to Hocking Hills today, and took the opportunity to stop by and try out Tasty Made. We stopped by around 4 on a Sunday, and there were only 3 other parties there. Ill start off with the compliments, the bathroom was one of the cleanest restaurant bathrooms Ive ever seen. It even smelled nice. Also, the fries were great. They reminded me of the fresh cut fries from the fair. The dining room has huge windows without any type of shade, so we were forced to eat blinded, and baking in the sun. The food was done pretty quickly, and they brought it out to us. But they didnt have our drinks. Then gave us the wrong drinks. My boyfriend and daughter got single cheeseburgers, I got a single tasty burger, and we got fries to share. Like I previously mentioned, the fries were great, just like fair fries, hot, crispy, and a good amount for $2. The burgers, on the other hand, were a disaster! First, theyre roughly the size of a jr cheeseburger from Wendys. The tasty sauce was simply mayo, mustard and relish. Didnt even remotely taste like bacon in my opinion. The burgers were slapped together, and mine had about 3x more tasty sauce than necessary, so it was seeping out of the sandwich and all over the inside of the wrapper/outside of the bun. The meat itself seemed like a bland, frozen patty. Not at all what I expected from a company based on fresh ingredients. The last straw for us came a few bites in when we noticed very undercooked meat. I understand that burgers with a little pink is some peoples preference, but it shouldnt be the default way a burger is served. Especially not to a small child and an obviously pregnant woman. At that point my boyfriend took our burgers back up to the counter to (quietly and politely) address our concerns, and the manager argued with him about the meat being perfectly fine the way it was cooked. It was then that he asked for a refund for the burgers and we headed back to Columbus. Save yourself the time and disappointment, and go to Five Guys.

tasty made .... a sorta comprehensive review Let me start with Im a HUGE chipotle fan, estimating that I would get chipotle 1-2 times per week on a consistent basis. Hearing that chipotle was starting a new brand called tasty made was exiting dinner news.... well it was at the time atleast.. to say the least tasty made is all hype with no follow up, I would say tasty made is a glorified McDonalds with less menu items and a retro oldies setup, the burgers are overpriced and I believe you wouldnt tell a difference if you switched one 6.25$ tasty made out for a 1.25$ McDouble added lettuce, tomatoe, onion and thier signature sauce. Talking to one employee he said they already switched thier cooking techniques 4 different times in a couple day spand because many complaints with over and undercooked burgers. Ironically during my experience thier I counted 5 people bring back up thier burger and make complaints that something was wrong. I even witnessed a employee on break take 2 bites of her burger just to realize the whole inside was pink and not cooked. When they came around to honestly get our opinion we mentioned exactly this and only suggestion was to "come back in a few months and hopefully we have it down by then" The signature burger " the tasty made " cost a overpriced amount of 6.25$. Nothing special about this burger other then they add on their signature smoky bacon sauce, to my assumpation I thought this would be great tasting impression of a BBQ sauce, but more like a very faint big Mac sauce with a sorta kinda hint of smoky bacon, the patty is something identical to what you would see on a McDonalds cheeseburger, very small, with no great taste The fries, costing only 1.95 with only one size remind me a lot of fair fries, the fries of everything else seem to have the most potential of the entire business, however ours were served to us cold so Ill leave it at that. The buckeye shake, costing 3.95 and comes in a small size drink cup, its one those things where you shrug your shoulders and say its good and say nothing more, it doesnt have that appeal begging you for more.

Sadly we would have to report that we were VERY disappointed with our first visit to Tasty Made. It started by coming in your door and me thinking how generic the store looked inside. No photos. No colors. Plain. After ordering our food we went to sit down and realized the tables were not cleaned. So I grabbed some napkins and cleaned our table and noticed that there were 9-10 employees behind the counter which not only look way over staffed, but made me wonder why I was cleaning my own table. We then received our food in a timely manner and I started to eat the fries and dip them in your signature "bacon" sauce I realized it tasted more like some type of honey mustard than bacon anything. My wife said she could barely taste the bacon, but all I tasted was the mustard...which I very much dislike. I instead got ketchup and dipped the fries in that. We then started to eat the hamburger which was quite pink and pretty much raw. I didnt feel like messing with it so I just ate it. My wife took hers back and asked for it to be well-done, it was still pink after it was remade. The bread/bun was fresh, but was very plain and seemed more like a generic or cheap bun from the dollar menu at your competition. The bun was not toasted and instead was soggy. The root bear we had was fine, but I was quite disappointed that your fountain was behind the counter and not out where we could easily get a refill. After getting done I really wish I would have went pretty much any place else as I was beyond disappointed. The positive notes: Your fries were good and the employees were pleasant. That would be the only reason you received even 1 star.

My husband could not wait to eat here, so today we went for lunch. We were very disappointed and have no plans to return. Even though we were there at lunch time, and they were busy, our food, that we had to wait for (it was brought our table after we ordered and paid at the counter,) was not hot. My husband ordered a tasty burger, fries and a shake. He wanted a malt......no malts! I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I wanted bottled water......no bottled water. I did get filtered tap water. Our burgers were small and thin, yet red which I dislike. Also quite salty. The cold fries appeared to maybe be "formed" rather than cut fries......they were pocked and pithy. We could not finish them. My husband said the milkshake was ok but not made from scratch......came out of a machine ready made. At this busy lunch time, the floors were being mopped and wet. We both slipped and I just had shoulder surgery, so did not want to fall. An employee did come to our table to ask how our food was. When I said it was cold she was thrown off, but did offer to get us more. I was hungry though, and had eaten my burger and didn want any more of the awful fries. We love Chipotle, so were looking forward to hot tasty food! Our order was over seventeen dollars. We are more than willing to pay for delicious food, but this was not worth the price.
