The food at this place is TOP Notch, especially the Hot and Sour soup, Ive tried 4 different places and La Que has the best. I have been there at least 30 times in the past 5 years. I also like their Wanton soup, and vermicelli bowls which Ive never had anyplace else. Good spring rolls, Prik King, and curry dishes too. The dining environment is pretty beat up and could use a new glass, fresh plaster work and better lighting, but it is quite clean. The staff is attentive their English on average is adequate. No negative experiences. The prices are very affordable for the quality of the food, so I just ignore any negative qualities of the environment.

VALUE: The lunch special is a good value. FLAVOR: I had the hot and sour soup and curried chicken. Both were tasty. If you like hot-spicy food, make sure you let your server know. Or else it will be mild. I saw others enjoy the pad thai, spring rolls, and summer rolls. The tea was not my favorite. QUANTITY: 1 meal for a large eater or 2 meals for a smaller eater. Yay, leftovers! SERVICE: Accommodating and friendly. ENVIRONMENT: Lunch hour is relaxed. Very clean bathrooms. NOTES: You can have your meal with white, brown, or FRIED rice. Its super close to the bus stop. You get fortune cookies. I would go back.

This place was interesting. The food was Awesome - great curry, spring rolls, noodle soup. Took 4 kids and my husband, passing thru town. All the dishes were very good. Kids really liked it. Parking difficult (during rush hour), but well worth it. Outdoor seating-3 or 4 tables, plus several tables inside. We sat at round table which comfortably sat all 6 of us. Waiter very helpful. Chef/cook came out and asked how food was.

Was given the wrong order when I picked up. So I had to go back, and she told me I could keep the $14 worth of food but would not give me the correct food difference so for $16 on the customer had to wait while I sorted this out. Manager/owner blamed this on me despite the fact that the guy double checked the name with me and I explained to her that I am partially deaf in my right ear. Not impressed.

Save your time & money and just buy frozen Chinese food at the grocery. Both my girlfriend and I had entrees which smelled of wet dog bore the flavor and consistency of mashed cardboard. I actually had the little corner of the plastic bag they used to microwave the broccoli snipped off into my meal. Overpriced, nasty...go to Vietnam Kitchen, Egg Roll Machine...better yet go to Yang Kee Noodle.

We love the Thai dishes and feel the portions are more than you can comfortably eat. I had the Pad Thai which was the best that I have had in Louisville. My wife had the fried noodle bowl with shrimp and loved it. We both knew that it was too much to eat in a single setting but couldnt stop ourselves, polishing off the entire meal. We highly recommend that you try this restaurant.

I ordered the sampler for an appetizer. Cold. Peanut sauce was great. Pad Thai with chicken the entree. It was just ok. Restaurant was somewhat unclean and cold. I am happy that it was nighttime for Im sure I would not have eaten here had I seen the dirty walls in the light of day. It really needs a paint job. Food was mediocre at best. Service even worse. Wont return anytime soon.

The pad Thai here is better than any other place Ive tried it & they are always willing to accomodate vegans & vegetarians. The Bun Cha Gio (N3) Vermicelli bowl is another favorite here. Take your time & be patient if there is a language barrier with a couple of the employees - theyre trying to help you, AND the food is totally worth it.

From appetizers to entrees, La Que is great Thai food. Were totally hooked on the curries--Yellow, Green and Red. Try them. Like us, youll be back for more. Service was attentive and polite. We carried home some of our food and they graciously provided us with extra rice to accompany it. Price is very reasonable.

"REAL FOOD" made fresh, full of flavor, amazing combinations of spices & vegetables! Highly recommended especially to get away from the normal varieties of crappy fast foods out there! @Emily Zink: Cho is his name and I make it my goal to tip him and try to have small conversations with him just to see him smile.

I was disappointed when I order bun thit nuong with eggrolls. I was supposed to get vietnamese eggroll instead I got frozen Chinese eggroll. I was insulted because I am Asian. You do not put frozen Chinese eggrolls in this type of food. I will never go back there again....

Great food, at even better prices! The lunch special is a fantastic deal, main dish and two sides for a little over $5. The dine-in service leans more towards efficient, rather than friendly, but are by no means rude. Great if youd prefer to eat with little interruption.

As an Asian and used to eating asian food, I give this restaurant a 1 on a 10 scale. The food i was served is bland and taste nothing like Thai, Vietnamese or Chinese to me. The egg roll is frozen and the sauce is supermarket quality. I will not go back to this place.

Love, love, love the tofu spring roll vermicelli bowl! Best sauce ever, I like it much more than the typical fish sauce. With a menu full of delicious options, I am not sure I will be able to resist this dish to try very many others!

I really enjoyed my meal here and thought the service was excellent. I really liked that they had a variety of rice options include brown and fried rice. It doesnt have a trendy decor or anything but still a good place to grab a bite

Terrific little restaurant with excellent food. I got the Pad Thai and my wife got the chicken Pho. The Pad Thai was delicious and the Pho was on par with Pho we had in Vietnam. I will go back to La Que again and again.

Like all good thai restaurants its kind of a dump. The floors are dirty and the decorations are ugly. The food, however, is magnificent. Best pad thai in Louisville. The prices are very fair. Its worth a dozen visits.

I would show you a picture of my food but I ate it. Lots of options, including yummy vegetarian dishes. Food can be made to order of you have particular allergies. (Note that there are peanut dishes served here.)

The lettuce wrap and glass noodles separately probably wouldnt be as good. But combining them and the extra cup of sauce from the wraps and the duck sauce was amazing! Needs more crunch too but thats my preference

Really good lunch special. 6.95 for a drink, soup or egg roll, and main dish. The food is really good, especially for the price. I love the hot and sour soup, and always have leftovers of my entree to take home.

Best hot and sour soup I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Pad Thai is not my favorite by my husbands was excellent. My Chicken Pho was very close to what I had in Vietnam. Will be going back!

Summer rolls were fresh and had great texture. Green curry with tofu was delicious. Egg drop soup was excellent. Fast friendly service and the meal was extremely affordable. $17.33 for two people.
