Below mediocre food, even worse service/management. Literally walked out of the restaurant and the first thing I did was download yelp and create an account so I could leave this review and warn everyone else. First of all, my friend and I went in Monday lunch and ordered our food. My complimentary soup that comes with the Pad Thai never came. Okay, no big deal. But when the pad Thai did come, and I tried it, I did not like it at all. Waited 10-15 minutes for the waitress to even come near our table just so I could reorder. Then she never comes back to the table to take my 2nd order. And guess what? THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE PAD THAI. I walked to the manager to tell him about the situation and have the pad Thai taken off. He tells me, "NEVER ORDER AGAIN." He then continues to be rude to my friend (we were paying separately.) All in all, terrible service, terrible food It was a shame that the Thai iced tea and the wonton soup was actually good because the service just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

yes yes and just yesssssss! the food here is soooooooooo good! ive had a couple of different items here, their chicken pad thai and yellow curry, soup,....soup sucks...chicken pad thai is everything but has a lil sweet tinge to it and they also provide a cup of rice with it, not sure what thats for....the yellow curry i got as take out-it was like a flavorful party inside my mouth, this also had sweet aftertaste to it....the satay is prettty good too....i think the lunch specials are worth it.although the portions are a tiny bit small....the prices are good too....if and when theyre open, check their times theyre hardly ever open but when they are they def clean house. the parking is a little weird. the owner is an eccentrric obnoxious asian man but friendly overall. theres always a diverse group in the restaurant from construction workers to bsu students to families. its decoration is kind of keechy but entertaining. definitely will come back!

I have been to other Thai places, but this is my home place. I judge all others against this. Not perfect, but very good. The people here treat you right and the owner is generally there and speaking to guests. He is very welcoming and helpful. This is a restaurant, not just a take out place. You are seated and given proper attention. This night we had Kao Soy (Yellow curry) and Three Flavored Chicken. The curry was a suggestion from the waitress and was very good. The Three Flavor Chicken is my wifes old favorite. All of it was very good tonight and done just right. The appetizers were crab Rangoon and no one makes a crab Rangoon that compares to this (to my knowledge). They are Great! They have take out and it is well done. The only issue they have is that on crowded nights the front area gets jammed, but I am sure they are glad to be full.

The last time I ate here was in 2012. Thats how amazing it was...8 years later I still want to write about it (and still wish I lived in Muncie just to go here). THE best panang curry Ive ever had, the sushi was to die for regardless of what you ordered, even the leftovers of cooked dishes were wonderful for dinner the next day. The staff was professional and fast (almost too fast). The main dishes were always too much for one meal, so youre costs are really for two dinners. Indiana never deserved such an amazing Asian restaurant, let alone a sushi place so far away from the oceans. Edit: Owners, I live over 6 hours away and would die for your recipe of beef appetizer soup for lunches (from 2009-2012 to be specific if its changed). Its one of the best things Ive ever had alongside that dragons egg sushi experiment.

Grimey dark atmosphere. Creepy and dark entrance. I ordered the yellow curry and the chicken soup. Both were disgustingly sweet! When I told the waitress that it was extremely sweet she told me that that is how they make it? The crab rangoon was cold and runny and made from imitation crab. Sent it all back. Heard a microwave beeping non-stop while there. Fried rice was made with old mushy rice. Check came and the manager wanted me to pay for the inedible food. I agreed to pay for the rice and the drinks to which the hostess argued with me saying that I had sent too much back! Staff (excluding the manager and hostess) were friendly enough except for the woman who kept inciststing that I would pay for whole mess. We will not be back.

One of my absolute favorite places in Muncie. The food has always been delicious and fresh. The Dry Egg Noodles, Broccoli Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Lobster Pad Thai, & Mango Sticky Rice are my favorite dishes. The service is always stellar and your water glass is never empty. Lunch special give you the most bang for your buck. The only con is their oddball hours. Sometimes they close at random times on random days. And they are always closed on Sunday. I wish the business hours were more consistent. Just because BSU is on holiday doesnt mean the rest of Muncie is. Other than the weird hours, I love this place!

I ordered takeout -- crab rangoon and a rainbow roll from Thai Smile. I was a little disappointed that I only got 4 crab rangoon (as opposed to 8 for the same price at First Wok) but they were very good, not heavy at all. The rainbow roll was average, a little oily but not bad. The service was very quick, I went to get my food as soon as I ordered it and it was ready for me to pick up 10 minutes later. The host was very nice. Overall this cost me about $18 after tip, which, in my mind, was a little much.

Delicious food! Some of the best food in Muncie! You can order spicy or not-spicy. Let them know what you prefer! (As a side note: Thai food is NOT Chinese food. Its not going to be super greasy like the Chinese fast food we have in Muncie. If the only rice-based food you have eaten in Americanized Chinese food, please consider giving Thai food a chance. It is completely different and you will probably find that you LOVE it!!!)

This is some of the most delicious food in Muncie, bar none. Lunches are quick and affordable, out in 45 minutes. The dinners here are definitely worth the price, and usually youll be taking another dinner home to-go! Great location for family, friends, and is pretty accessible. My friends and I are able to get in with accessibility devices and mobile chairs. A def. must.

While I attended Ball State, I visited Thai Smile (2) all 4 years and NEVER had a bad experience. Always Excellent food and great, quick service. Also visited Thai Smile in KY, same family but not same recipes/taste, and the newer one in Fishers, IN; again, same family, but not same recipes/taste. This one is the best!

I love Thai food, so as long as it is good and there isnt anything awful to write home about, a good Thai place is going to get five stars from me. This place is just that. Good food, great portion sizes, and nothing bad to say about the place. This is the best value Thai place in the area.

I grew up in Hawaii where Thai restaurants are everywhere. I was surprised to find that a little Thai restaurant in the middle of Indiana could be so delicious! Some of the best Panang curry Ive ever had! Plus the servings are large so I always have delicious leftovers the next day!
