Good food and service. Yet when the waitress showed me where to put the amount i wanted for a tip i put a 0 because i hadnt decided how much i was going to give she said "I guess I am not going to get a tip." and walked off. I left it as a 0 because i wanted to surprise her with 10-20 but i didnt want her to see the amount nor the note i was going to say. Which was "Your hospitality and food are worth more but this is all i can afford." since she got rude about only seeing the 0 i didnt give her a tip at all

Im really surprised by all these great reviews of this place. I went there, and saw nothing that really stood out to me. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing (Breakfast Burrito, Coffee, side of toast), but even the plates being brought out to others didnt look that great. It looked, tasted and felt like a very average diner, nothing really stood out. The bacon was flat, likely pre-cooked, and there was very little of it, or cheese, in by breakfast burrito.

Today is my first day in Denver. I asked the guy at the front desk of hostel fish where a good place to eat and he recommended this diner. I got a breakfast burrito with ham. And it was the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. I couldnt quite finish it, and while it was almost 9 dollars, I can tell this meal will keep me full until dinner! Definitely worth checking out. Im not a big breakfast person, but this was a wonderful surprise.

As far as diners go, 20th St. Cafe is the king of the hill. Yes indeed their menu looks a little boring but they turn out consistently killer versions of whatever that item happens to be. Of special note is their chicken fried steak. Bar none the best in town (best I have ever had period and I order that a lot). Prices are still pretty reasonable, especially when stacked against all the hipster breakfast spots.

Worst service in a long time! On a not so busy day. I was completely ignored for the most part while other customers who came in after me were waited on before me. Ive been here several times before with semi-decent service but with the service today, I wont be back there again and I will definitely stop recommending my friends to go there, too!

Best Green Chile in Denver! The place is a Quaint family run Diner that looks the same as it did 30 years ago and will probably look as it does now in 30 years. The food is what keeps people coming back loyally. Try the blueberry muffin french toast, or hashbrowns smothered in Green Chile and cheese yum!

Best diner ever! Can you say comfort food? I have tried about half the stuff on the menu and some stuff thats not. I havent run into anything I dont like yet. Staff is always friendly. Food comes out fast. Atmosphere is your typical hometown diner. Whats not to love?

Rated 5/5 for basic low-frills diner fare and experience, low-frill prices, decent coffee and refills, and a menu that will get you a hot breakfast to get your day moving. Quick and friendly service when I visited first thing in the morning.

Food is great! And cheap for downtown. No lines or waiting like the trendy hipster joints, since this is a dive diner with zero pretentiousness. Service is a little slow sometimes, so dont plan to be in a hurry.

No chain food diner can beat this home-cooked quality food at these prices, expecially breakfast. Best pancakes in town (if you ask for real butter). The mural of Ted Kennedy as a waitress is creepy but amusing.

A true gem for breakfast lovers. Maybe the last true diner feeling you can get downtown, I havent had a single bad thing on their menu. Hopefully they stay around and arent pushed out by rising costs

Great greasy diner for breakfast. Also a good place to meet people as usually no line and quite enough to have a conversation. Try the breakfast fried rice!

my favorite cafe. Toms is bigger, cooler, and has more options, but 20th street cafe is still better. Perfect for breakfast with a loved one.
