A pretty solid ramen stand and welcome addition to the Public Market in Emeryville! Although theyre still working things out I enjoyed my food here and want to come back to try the other ramen options. I had a spicy ramen bowl (11) with an extra piece of chashu (1.50). It took about 5-10 minutes to prepare. The presentation was nice, with the boiled egg, a few strands of red pepper for decor, and green onions sprinkled around the side. I usually cant handle spice but they put just the right amount for a mild taste and a nice red soup color. The broth was savory and the noodles were well cooked. The ground pork was also good and the chashu was grilled and added nice flavor. I pretty much devoured everything minus a bit of soup- and all the ingredients worked well with each other to make a satisfactory bowl of ramen. The highlight was the egg yolk- it had an almost crystalline texture and was slightly chilled and pretty much the best egg Ive had in ramen. I recommend coming earlier as around 1 they already ran out of 2 options.

Good, not great, bowl of ramen. It is a little pricey, though. I find myself coming to Shiba Ramen whenever I have a hankering for some ramen and dont want to fuss over driving long distances and waiting in line. I tend to get the spicy ramen with an additional pork charshu. It comes with ground pork, which Im not a huge fan of, but its OK. Ive tried a few others and the only other I would get again is the White Bird. You can taste that Shiba Ramen puts a lot of care into their ramen. It may not be as punchy as other places, but its got a good balance and hits the spot.

Easily the best ramen Ive had in just about my whole existence :D Though they have a variety of delicious ramen available daily, my favorite has got to be the special White Bird hands down! The flavor profile was crazy delicious and the ramen was cooked perfectly. Not to mention that the presentation of the dish is absolutely gorgeous (it feels as if it was taken straight out of the pictures.) I have no problem totally devouring one of their delicious ramen bowls any day of the week. No shame. <3

great food but this places got to get it together. Ive gone there 5+ times and 4 times they were out of the chicken and 2 times the White Bird soup was not ready. They always cant offer everything on their already small menu. What the heck? If they cant get things cooked and ready to serve by the time they open, then they either need to go there earlier to prep or they need to change their hours of opening. Not acceptable!!!!!

If youre in to ramen, this place is very good. Wanted to try the special, but they were out. However the standard ramen was delicious. They serve beer and sake as well. Its a food court, so theres no atmosphere here, but start is friendly and the ramen is great.

Great tasting ramen with perfectly cooked eggs and a nice texture to the noodles. Their overhead menu lacks detail and causes a lot of confusion. Look for the printed menu sitting in the counter if you want to know whats what.

A consistently great ramen experience ramen experience. Specials vary from day-to-day but are always worth checking out. The mainstay spicy ramen is a heat lovers dream.

Surprisingly good ramen in a food court setting. Spicy ramen was savory and better than most ramens found in fancier, sit down restaurants.

My wife is vegan and loves it. I like dead things and also love it. A real uniting of life and death with a side of perfect sake.

The clear dark ramen is excellent. Really great tasting broth, and the pork melts in your mouth.

Pretty decent ramen but the service is pretty slow. Be ready to wait awhile to get your food.

The ramens are too salty and the portion is small. Expensive and not worth it.
