We usually do delivery or carry out. My wife loves the sesame tofu. The food isnt mind blowing or anything, but its good Chinese food. Im a fan of a few of there soups. Egg drop soup is always a good compliment to what ever you order. And Ive always been pleased with anything Ive ordered. Delivery is always prompt, and the food is always hot and just what we ordered. Quality Chinese food, at a fair price. As far as dine in goes, weve only been a few times, the service can be a bit slow at times, but again, the food is always great. And the décor? Its a Chinese restaurant strait out of the 60s or 70s. I like it, its like a set piece out of an episode of "Man from u.n.c.l.e." or " I spy" so throw on your shark skin suit and your sunglasses, and order up some shrimp fried rice!

This was the WORST experience Ive ever had!!! We were seated right away, then waited and waited (about 15 min) before anyone came to take our order. Then waited more, about 25 minutes later 3 of our 6 orders came out. Then, we told someone who worked there some of our group had to go back to work. Instead of hurrying up to get the food out to us for them it NEVER came!!!! They should have done something to help make up for this disaster, but NO just handed us the bill!!! NEVER going there again!!!

Food was good but the ambiance was not! If you dine in, they compulsorily make you pay tip on the bill; it is hand written. My order was of $8.50 and they added tax (no problem) + $1.95 tip. When asked if it is a must to pay, the waitress said a big yes. She was not able to respond to other normal questions asked about the menu in English, but for the tip, she knew it all!

ive been going to east garden for about 5 years. i almost always order the same dish - sesame beancurd. this, paired with an order of assorted fancy vegetables (crisp-cooked veggies in a light garlic sauce - delish!), and pan-fried or steamed veggie dumplings easily feeds three people. based solely on these three menu items, i give this place a resounding 5 stars.

If this is anyones idea of good Chinese food, I feel very bad for you. I have never had such bad Chinese Food ever. The Mall would get 5 stars up against this place. Save your $$ and eat any place except this place. It is special alright and if this is the best Milwaukee has to offer in Chinese Food, I will not be looking for any Chinese soon.

So far everything that I have ordered from here has been to my liking and my family as well. My father has been going there since his college days, and now I am too. one down side I must say that it is a little more expensive that the others but quality is the best of any Chinese restaurant Ive had in Milwaukee

East Garden has been my new place since moving to the east side. The sesame chicken is excellent! The only gripe I have is their egg rolls. The owners ought to visit Chens in Menomonee Falls and learn a thing or two about how egg rolls should be made.

This place has really gone downhill. They serve most of their take out in cheap plastic containers that affect the taste of their food. Most of the food is coated in grease. Not worth it.
