I had just arrived in Herndon for the weekend and I was looking for a simple, unpretentious restaurant for the first nights dinner. What do we have here? A place that looks like a fast food joint but seems to be Latin American? Ill give it a shot! Actually, Im glad I did try it. Its simple, fast and inexpensive. I didnt expect much but service was okay. As for the food, I dont know much about Peruvian and I didnt even know it was Peruvian, but I thought the rotisserie chicken was pretty good and the sides werent bad either.

One of the better Peruvian chicken places Ive been to in the area. I recommend getting the quarter chicken. The half chicken is tempting but more than you realize once you start eating it along with the sides. The have a better variety of slides more than other Peruvian restaurants to include Macaroni and Cheese, Mixed vegetables, Fried/White Rice, Black/Pinto Beans, along with some coleslaw and salad options. The wait is usually not long either but it is a popular restaurant around lunch time.

I have eaten at every Pollo joint in Northern VA. This is one of 4 favorites. This is the only one I tend to change up from just chicken to a sandwich. They do a hot pollo sub style sandwich with cheese and veggies that is out of this world. Takes a bit longer but worth the wait. And its a huge sammich. The price is right, the food is great. The employees are cool. They are all native Spanish speaking but no problems communicating. Definitely a favorite for good reasons.

Chicken Rico has an excellent lunch special: 1/4 of a rotisserie chicken (white or dark), two sides and a drink for $8. The chicken is flavorful, and the lentil/chick pea side is a must try. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Make sure you get extra green sauce, it is phenomenal.

Pretty decent chicken flavor is really good I never ask for breast because sometimes is kinda dry, and I hate dry chicken their salads kind of bland I always have to ask for salt and pepper and portion wise pretty good but Id rather go to guapos just few blocks away from here...

Pollo a la brasa was really good! Huancaina and Huacatay sauces were good. They have Inca cola but no beer. Chicken soup was tasty. Very fast service and enjoyable meal. Well be back!

Yucas are hit or miss but the chicken is always good. They are a bit skimpy with the sides so if you eat a lot you might not get full unless you order a half chicken.
