One of my favorite restaurants in Scranton. City Cafe has a wonderful atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying dinner with family, your special someone, or a group of friends. The tasting platter/sampler is amazing and a crowd pleaser. The portions are well-sized and theres always great attention paid to the quality of the service. Its a slower pace there, but its nice if youre looking to chill and enjoy a good meal and conversation. Im partial to their entree specials (every one Ive ever had was awesome), but their regular menu offers a good variety and quite a few gems.

Definitely more of a slower pace restaurant, which is seen in the frequency of service, while great, you definitely wait a while for a water refill. Friends and family have all always enjoyed their meals. Price point is very reasonable for great Mediterranean food, however the deserts are a bit overpriced in my mind for the portion size. Going for a big party or visit? Definitely get the sampling platter, tons to try, and coffee for desert. The coffee is spiced, thick, and just like my Yaya used to brew in her Turkish coffee maker.

Absolutely overrated. Went there on the recommendation of a friend. The friendly waitress was the only redeeming quality of this place. The food was so disappointing. It was either over cooked and dry or very bland. But the worse part was the owner. Not only was this overweight slob talking on the phone so loudly like an obnoxious idiot but he actually smelled of body odor. I was thoroughly disgusted with the whole experience. Last time I eat at that place. There are far better Mediterranean restaurants in the area.

Still my favorite restaurant in Scranton next to Thai Rak Thai. I still dont particularly get the "probably overrated" in previous comments; what does that even mean? The prices are very good and the food and atmosphere are excellent. I live in Scranton and I visit this restaurant quite often. The owner as well as the waitresses are extremely amiable and have practically been able to predict what I will order anymore. The decor is well chosen, and its perfect for lunch or a date. Highly recommended.

We just had an incredible meal at City Cafe! The vegetarian stew was fresh and flavorful, and the eggplant and ground beef was perfect. The flavors are rich and authentic, and each dish is well balanced. Even the mint tea is some of the best I have had! And a tasteful, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. If you are a foodie and find yourself in Scranton, eat here!

Honestly, this place is fantastic! The owner was extremely nice and very informative on the Lebanese culture. The food was amazing and very fair in price. I had raw kibbeh (kibbeh nayeh), grape leaves, tabbouleh, and lots of bread for only $24. Nice little spot for lunch or dinner on Fridays.

The food at City Cafe is AMAZING! The Chef Sarah is one of the best in the area. I would not pass up the opportunity to eat at this place. If possible try the SPECIAL BURGERS!
