I thought this place was good but after coming here for awhile there are some staff members that are really rude and think they can get away with it. They talk to customers in a condescending way that is truly unique to this place. Granted some staff are friendly but be prepared for sideways remarks and religion style shaming. I brushed it off the first couple of times chalking it up to the workers having a bad day but those Circle of Hope kids have attitude problems! Vegan options are borderline non existent so if you decided eating animals isnt good for you and the planet go to Blackbird Pizzeria instead. Ive come to detest the overall uptight environment despite all the neat trinkets and store design. Its also funny that a bunch of hipsters can come into my neighborhood, setup shop then selectively treat customers that came to show support. It feels like they have a policy to only entertain a certain crowd and now that I think about it Ive rarely seen anything but white employees. Before I went vegan the food was tasty. They used cool pizza boxes that could be used as plates then did away with it. I guess profit trumped our environment? Wanna know what makes their pizza so good? THEY DONT CLEAN THEIR OVEN! Thats gotta be healthy. The final straw was when I called with just a quick question about theirs and little babies hours today (Sunday) and the kid ignorantly replies "we close at 9 but we reserve this line for pick and delivery orders only. Little babies is a separate business" then proceeds to hangup on me! The 2 businesses dont just neighbor each other and share the same owner but they also connect together inside, share the backyard for patrons and usually close at the same time! Youd think 2 business that have agreed to share traffic would also look out for each other and give general information but hey thats the kind of person Pizza Brain is. What legitimate pizza store closes at 9pm during the week anyway? This is definitely not a place youd call after a long day at work. For the record Ive experienced this at Little Babies only once and they also dont have an all animal based products or nothing approach. Their non-dairy options are always available and my only complaint is that the awesome flavors change too frequently. The price is steep as well but its a bit of a gourmet experience or treat than a place to stock up. They have a great Pint promotion usually too so I will spare the little babies. I hope one day they get their act together because Pizza Brain has a bit of an identity crisis.

Disgusting. The worker seemed starstruck when I asked what the vegetarian options were and suggested only one thing. I had to prod him a little to learn all the options. I ordered an Ollie Dodge pizza. It was just plain disgusting. The whole thing was dried out like it had sit in the sun all morning and there was not enough cheese on it making it feel like eating a piece of toast. The artichoke added extreme bitterness which did not go well with the other flavors on the pizza such as the olives and the feta. I think they did not think this one through when designing the pizza. Who can stomach that. Being totally unfamiliar with their menu (all those weird names) the worker should have at least told me to that the pizza would be bitter. Bitter pizza? Based on that I dont know whether it is good or bad news that you only get one slice albeit extra long - which I would judge to be 1 1/2 slices from a standard large pizza. The good news is I didnt have to eat too much of it. It was 4,50 for that junk which is not cheap. Will not be going back. The only good thing was the private restroom.

Pizza Brain was very popular and had delicious pizza when it first opened a couple years ago. If you wanted a couple slices to go, they hooked you up with a sturdy mini cardboard pizza box. Now, you get two flimsy cheap paper plates when you order slices to go. When Im paying 4 bucks a slice, I want a container thats not going to fall apart or burn my hand. Unfortunately, when Ive grabbed slices at various times over the past 6 months, I found that the quality of the pizza is not as good as it used to be. I heard there was a split in the ownership awhile back so that may have contributed to the overall change in the quality. This place does not offer any oregano, basil, garlic salt, etc.for customers that want to top off their pizza. Anyway, theres plenty of other spots in Fishtown and throughout Philly that offer a better slice of pizza

I loved Pizza Brain from the beginning. I put in money on the Kickstarter, been going since it opened, bring folks from out of town there. Loyal customer since the start. But after tonight, Im done. Its the night before my kids birthday and I ordered two pizzas at 5:45 PM. Dude on the phone said 45 minutes. Now its 8:30. No pizzas. They told me it was out for delivery at 7:30, then hung up on me twice when I called back an hour later. How do you hang up on a customer waiting to give you money? Come on. I dont know if its the ownership fight or what, but Im done. My kid went to bed asking for pizza that never came, and I got hung up on for my troubles. Done.

Disappointed to say the least. Going on 4 years as a customer and this is my last time ordering from there. A year ago I saw an article about how the owner and creator was forced out of the business due to taking care of his VERY sick child. Well, it shows. The options are different, the quality is less, its just not the same. Ex- past white pie with carmelized onions now comes as a red pie with raw onions. Once an irresistible pie, now I feel ripped off for paying the same price as before. Another business that is slacking due to change in ownership and running multiple locations. Truly upset and disappointed in what we just experienced.

Im gonna give Pizza Brain 2 stars. They get the two stars because their pizza is good. Quality product. The prices are outrageously high. Somehow Im spending over $30 for a pie (singular, one pizza) every time I go there or get delivery. What leads me to write this review is I called for delivery at 8:50 last Monday and they said "sorry, were closed." Quick knowledge here - if you have a few brain cells, respect your customers, and want to be a respectable pizza place, dont close at 9. 9 OClock? Really? Its borderline insulting. Scratch that, it IS insulting. Calling at 8:50 and I cant get a pizza. Laughable.

So many great things to say about this place! The pizza is fantastic - They always have unique, tasty, and fairly exotic topping combinations which is why slices and whole pizzas are more than affordable. This restaurants claim to fame is they started the Worlds First Pizza Museum with pizza-related knick knacks from all around the world. The only real negative is their location - not within comfortable walking distance from Center City. With that said, SEPTA will get you very close, quite quickly so head on out to check out this fun and interesting pizza joint!

Decent pizza for the area but they are the worst staff in history of good pizza places. Hit up Beddia or Trios for service and good food. I hope they fire the whole staff as Id imagine anyone can be trained to make a good pie. This place has lied to us on the phone and in person. Sad hipster trolls even messed up slice orders when it wasnt busy. Even was told to come down and order in which they locked the door an hour before they closed. This place is a joke and an insult to good pizza. Oh, and over priced for sure, sad.
