My girlfriend and I were just heading home after a great weekend at Hershey PA. We wanted to eat here on the way down but missed the exit so we made a point to stop on the way back. Well that was a huge mistake. Our waitress made a mistake with our order and when I asked her about it she brought over what she had written down and tried to tell me that I was wrong. And that this way we would wind up saving money. (We didnt get the sides that we ordered with our meal because she interpreted us adding the salad bar as us just wanting a side salad each... I had the seafood broil, which was mediocre at best. The "Toast" was soggy and the tuna salad was bland and salty. My girlfriend had the rueben which looked like it had fallen off of the plate put back on in a hurry. Also the sauerkraut tasted only of salt. Overall I would advise that no one eat there. The staff is rude when confronted with a mistake and the food is terrible.

I am a truck driver who was recently stranded in this pretty little town I thought, wouldnt that be wonderful to eat in a quaint local restaurant. boy was I surprised, the food was TERRIBLE!! I had the breakfast. the potatoes were like cardboard the sausage was pure garbage frozen from a box , seriously my retard, loner, deer hunter, half brother from Arkansas could cook circles around them! The wait staff was disinterested and inattentive, every time I made a comment or ask him a question they look back at me with blank stares glazed eyes as if staring at a brick wall to tell you the truth, it was kinda spooky. the bill was high. do yourself a favor dont even bother

My family travels North along I81 yearly for family visits and Autumn leaf watching. We time our departure to reach the Dutch Kitchen for either lunch or dinner. The food is very good, fair portions and price, the restaurant is clean and family friendly. In the past ten years we have seen little change in the staff (must be good place to work). Will stop again. Were back again! All was as good as expected, GREAT roadfood! Glad to see theyve added hand-dipped ice cream, 15 flavors, did notice that the salad bar has been discontinued (after 40yrs.) however, the homemade relishes, sweet & sours, chow chow all offered as vegetable choices, very cool. Will be back!

Grateful for the recommendation from one of the many charming locals from Fracksville to try this little gem of a restaurant. The friendly staff was able to quickly accomodate our large group and patiently answer all our questions regarding the menu. All of the recommendations were spot on! Everything we tasted was more delicious than the next. Make sure to save space for thier delectable desserts! I recommend thier apple pie a la mode with coconut ice cream. Best. Crust. Ever! I also hope you get a chance to meet the lovely regulars who sweeten the cozy Dutch Kitchen experience all the more!

Chose to meet six friends for lunch there. Service was ok, prioces very reasonable but food was not. French fries dry and blah, seafood platter consisted of cold - not completely defrosted scallops, crab cake that was ozzy, shrimp that was overbreaded and hard, To correct for half thawed scallops - nuked for less than a minute. At end of meal at cashier asked how everything was...was honest....no consideration for the poor meal just have a nice day. Will not stop here again - ever.

Based on the reviews I would have never gone here. My friends insisted it would be good. Nothing was good. We did not get breakfast, which I would think would be ok. The waitress was very nice and service was great. We tried the turkey dinner, meat loaf, potato pancakes, salmon, and prime rib. Any home cook could have made it as good if not better. Nothing was inedible except for the dressing/stuffing. I would never go again by choice.

Well the price is acceptable and food is fine. However it took forever to get a steak~~~ I ordered a medium-well NY strip, which was a little overlooked since I didnt see any pink in it. The waitress told me that she could ask the chef to make another one, but it would take forever... which implied, for me, do not bother them to make another one. The complimentary bread was definitely worth mentioning. It was so awesome!

First last and only time we will go to thsi establishment. Customer service was horrible. Seen the waitress 3 times only to take order, bring drinks and appetizers then when she brought our food. We waited a half hour for our check which never came. Small portion not worth the price that we paid. Management was rude when I spoke up about the service she asked "is there a problem" with an attitude. Never returning.

The ham steak was delicious and generous (11 oz?). The raspberry vinaigrette that I chose on the side salad was oddly thick. Our waiter was helpful and patient. Nice ambience: a local twist on the classic family diner/meat-and-two. Very reasonably priced. They also offer a 10% senior discount. I came here on a long car trip, so Im no local, but I would come again if I were looking for food in this area.

Very poor service,..they forget your order,..or maybe even dont even place it,...we sat for 35 minutes until the so called manager had the nerve to tell us that they had no more chicken<>>>?..this is ofcourse after two other tables were served BEFORE we were. Pitiful place,...will NEVER stop there again....please,..dont waste your time,...if you arent a LOCAL,...you are nothing but a wallflower to them.

I went here after seeing the ad for it at the motel I was staying at with high expectations. The ingredients were horrible and the customer service was even worse. My sandwich was soggy. The waiter was very rude and would not give us a break on the bill and basically blamed us for the bad food. Never again. Not to mention that the place is pretty grimy and looks like it hasnt been cleaned in 20 years.

Waitress got both our orders wrong, said it was due to new computer system. Ordered the "made special that day two crab cakes", got a seafood special - came w 1 crab cake that was good and the rest of the seafood was pretty bad and didnt even try to eat the piece of salmon. Wifes order of turkey & stuffing was ok turkey between two pieces of white bread and covered in gravely w no stuffing.

I ended up here twice on a recent stay in the area and while my dinner experience was poor (while the garlic chicken contained both of those ingredients, I wasnt super into completely unseasoned chicken breast with a giant glop of minced garlic straight out of the jar on top), breakfast was pretty delicious. So if you go, go early.

We were overnighting 40 miles south of Frackenberg. Glad we waited to eat breakfast. Make sure you pay the upcharge for the homemade bread. FYI...they sell the bread so you can take home some of the awesome goodness. They also have gift items. We will be committing exit 124 b to memory.
