I love the Oregon District and I love Press. Its a small coffee shop but offers a lot of really great options. I ordered a cortado and my friend ordered a latte. They offer many options including pour over coffee. Also, this location serves Wood Burl coffee which I love dearly. Dayton has fallen far behind in previous years in the culinary and coffee scene (aside from ghost light coffee)but it is back, especially in the Oregon District, in a big way. Press offers manual coffee, espresso bar drinks, pastries and tea. I love this place, the location and would certainly return.

Stopped by based on the reviews this place received. Im new to Ohio and moved south of Dayton, so I went on a hunt for a great coffee shop near me, and this was it! Its got a cool ambiance and a neat look, but you usually dont go to a coffee shop for that (or at least it is probably not a priority). I tried out the macchiato first, it was very well done and had a great flavor. Next up was the cappuccino, which was a success as well. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone trying to get their coffee on and Ill be visiting this probably on regular basis now.

I had to have had my order messed up because that was the most vile thing Ive ever tasted. I ordered a chia tea latte with a shot of espresso. I was really excited to try this place after driving by so much. It literally burned my mouth, like it was made with cleaning solution or vodka. BLAH! Id be willing to give this place another shot but my first experience left me with a horrible taste in my mouth and an upset stomach from just two sips of my drink.

Excellent Coffee and varietals. If you are use to chain coffee choices, Im not here to judge. However you likely have not experienced an honest cup of Java. I took a student and she ordered a mocha. She was disappointed bc it was not Sweet. This is true coffee indulgence, but fear not. There are easy access points and choices for the beginner coffee-tarian. Press also boasts a sweet environment with an eclectic following. You dont have to be trendy.

Best espresso in town! And if thats not enough reason to visit, the coffee is good too. They keep the menu small, and thats good, as there is usually only one person taking orders, and one barista making the espresso-based drinks. Even so, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. As others have noted, seating is limited, and there are often plenty of parked individuals there for the long haul.

Tried to go here with a colleague to have a cup of coffee and talk business, but there were only a few tables inside and they were all taken by folks that looked like they were going to be there for a while (laptops out, books spread around). This was a Wednesday around 2:30pm. We really needed a place to sit, so unfortunately we didnt stay. But it had a great vibe otherwise!

Bright, simple atmosphere. A wide variety of calm music was played. The menu was very simple and I really enjoyed my hot Earl Grey tea. The seating seemed to be limited (as is the parking) but there was free Wi-Fi and the employees were very kind. Fair prices. The interior decor was very cool. I would recommend this place and return.

My last three visits have been rather pleasant. The baristas are helpful and, unlike other high-end coffeeshops where posturing is the norm, actually seem excited about the coffees they serve. The store is clean, but small. A decent amount of parking on the street and in a lot to the north of the store.

Really good coffee. Has pour-over and cold brew. Bright, modern, but relaxing atmosphere. Somewhat expensive, and some drinks take a few minutes to prepare, so you may need to wait if you want your choice. Always outstanding and interesting coffee varieties on tap for a quick cup, though.

In my opinion, its the best coffee shop in Dayton. Its probably the best in Ohio, and it is definitely in the top 100 in the nation. Ive been to the east and west coasts in search of great coffee while Im there, and very few have been on their level. Were lucky to have it here in Dayton.

If you like unsweetened chai tea definitely need to try this spot. Only complaint is some baraistas make the chai with more milk than others. Modernest minimalist interior. Hip with tattoos Impressive coffee Utilitarian location Exposed wood Painted tin roof

A bit slow at times and there is a lack of seating options, but its some of the best espresso Ive ever had and the vibe is just so cool. Staff is nice and knowledgeable. If youre looking for a quick cup go to Starbucks, if youre looking for the best cup come to Press.

I came in here looking for some coffee. No one looked at me or served me, it didnt look like a private party was going on. I must not have had enough tattoos. Drove down the street to Ghostlight and not only had good coffee but the barista made me feel at home.

This place has ruined Starbucks for me. The coffee is exponentially better, the people are way less arrogant, the vibe is very hip and trendy, and the prices are about half of what they should be. Sorry Boston Stoker, this is my new spot.

Seating can get a bit crowded but this is a great place to get some quality coffee with an open, modern, and reasonable quiet vibe. Internet was a little slow but I was able to enjoy myself while getting some work done.

Pretty small inside and the specialty drinks are fairly expensive - on par with other premium coffee shops. They do have cheaper alternatives though like a $1 coffee option, and all of it is high quality and delicious.

The chai latte was great, especially with the addition of cayenne. The pastried were excellent, the rosebuds were the best. They dont offer more than pastries to eat, so dont expect to grab breakfast here.

Great coffee! Wouldnt let me french press the Ethopian, but the pour over was great. Expensive. Small pour over was $2.60. No hot food. They had some pastries which looked good, but I didnt try them.

Great little coffee dive. I say dive simply because ita small and invites conversation. Very clean design as well as clean in general. Great for all kinds of coffee, and coffee drinks.

Best Americano in town. Everything is done like a science and the result is the best coffee Ive ever tasted. And its priced better than that big chain most soccer moms rave about.

Want good coffee? Drive 2 more mins to Ghost light coffee. Want better service? Go to Protobuildbar on 1st St. Press is a nice setting, just lacks nicer people behind the counter!

Its has a modern déco. Its a nice cozy place great for a great start for a brunch in the historic part of town. They have great hot cocoa which is nice for this time of the year.

Friendly, unique atmosphere with excellent coffee and local, rotating art shows. Price point is extremely inexpensive for the quality of their product. A new favorite.
