My wife and I eat out frequently and we enjoy a great variety of cuisines. When we want great Italian food we always come to Toscanini. Its like eating at a family members house. The portions are plenty, the food is always top quality, no skimping. There are always a variety of specials. The place is very clean.The service is friendly, attentive and polite. The owner takes great pride to make sure youre treated to a wonderful meal. Weve eaten in NYC often and paid 3x the price but none are better. Well done !

This is a typically Italian restaurant, if you live in Northern Italy and want a family owned place.. Its NOT a red sauce joint. The food is made to order just as they do in Italy. The ingredients are fresh, the food a touch different (meaning you can get your parmesan or marinara dishes), but why would you? They know how to do fish, which is sadly rare, and their meat and chicken dishes remind you of, as I said, Northern Italy. Im a regular, because I like great food and great service.

My family of four and I have eaten here since it opened. My son, who returns to college tomorrow requested our Sat. night dinner at Toscanini. My daughter and I both had the Chicken Gismonda which has usually been spectacular. All four of us have had it collectively maybe two dozen times. Tonight it was inedible. I mentioned our dissatisfaction to the owner who TOOK NO ACTION WHATSOEVER including failing to apologize. Be advised - STAY AWAY

i wanted to thank you to all my guests for excellent reviews and the ones who havent been for while please be our guests we are celebrating 13 years in town and i have made $30 dollars menu from the best sold dishes witch includes appetizers main course cafe, cappuccino espresso and home made tiramisu and cheese cake i hope i see u soon the owner. also we have updated menu health menu gluten free food and pastas.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience there. The food is old school Italian but overly salted and sauced. I ordered Chicken with mozzarella and brown sauce..It arrived heavy with cheese and the "brown sauce" was congealed. The portion was large and I wanted to bring it home..The distracted waiter had it thrown out and I couldnt wait for a replacement..I wont be back.

A terrific restaurant in a convenient location with great atmosphere. Forget the Newsday review .. go have dinner and see for yourself. Ive always had a great meal and Im always made to feel welcome. Like one of the family. Freddy is the best!

The ownership, service, ambiance and of course the food were excellent. Restaurant came recommended from a friend that lives in town and we made the trip up and loved it. All dishes ordered were prepared perfectly and we will certainly be back.
