There are no words to express how much I adore everyone at Aroma Thyme. I went to listen to some jazz and enjoy some good food and beer. Let me say that again, I went for the purpose of having good food and good beer, and to listen to some live music. I keep forgetting that just "good" is a statistical anomaly. If anyone were to receive anything less than excellent, then they must seriously question why Karma has chosen to punish them in such a subtle way. Just in speaking with the staff about beer, you realize that not only are they all knowledgeable about the variety of brews, they are passionate as well. They know the taste notes, they know what pairs well, and they all seem to love talking about the drinks themselves. Similarly, the food is good to the point where I think some dishes should be labeled as a Schedule I narcotic. Im no poet, so I accept that Ill never be able to properly describe just how vibrant and rich the flavors are. Knowing that the food is all organic, and local whenever possible makes the enjoyment even better. So go ahead, check them out. Even the most picky of eaters will find something that will appeal to their palate. Things to consider: Any of the burgers, though my personal favorite is the brie burger (with apple slices and bacon), the blue cheese pizza, the sweet potato soup, the meatloaf, and everything else on the menu. Seriously, just go and enjoy!

It took us three years to get here, we took the long way. If I only new what we have been missing. I had a contractor back then, tell me , if you want a great steak, the Aroma Thyme is the place to go. My closed mind said "great steak in Ellenville? Dont think so". I guess the contractors up here know their food better than their work. Last month we found our selfs searching for a place to eat at 9 PM when driving though Ellenville. I spotted the sign, remembered the name and said lets give it a try. Not expecting much more than a full stomach, three of us ventured in. As they say, the rest is history. We have been here 3 times to date and the meals were on the money each and every time and worth every penny. Marcus and Jamie know how to run a restaurant. The staff is top notch. You just feel so comfortable eating here. We live here in Accord, but until recently eating out was mostly done in NYC due to work. We will put Aroma Thyme up against any place we have dined at in NYC. Hands down, the best spicy Bloody Mary you will ever have. The steak and burgers are better than Peter Lugers. Do not wait three years, get in the car today and go to Aroma Thyme now.

I brought my Mother and Sister who were visiting from out of town. The restaurant was fairly busy and we were seated at a table close to the kitchen. We ordered drinks from the bar which were over priced but very good and our server Shanon was very pleasant and upbeat. After we placed our order we could hear the owner/manager? belittling the cook staff and basically ranting and raving, using very foul language about everything and anything. From that point on our server shanon who had seemed so cheerful was suddenly on the verge of tears and seemed very tense for the remainder of our time there. At one point I walked my mother to the ladies room and were subjected to some very disrepectful treatment toward the kitchen staff and I was so embarrased that my mother who is in her 80"s had to stand there and witness such inappropriate behavior. Shanon who was about the age of my daughter looked so stricken that it was very hard to leave and not take her with us. If you enjoy watching Hells Kitchen then this is the restaurant for you. If you prefer a quieter more professional establishment I cannot recommend visiting Aroma Thyme Bistro.

I first heard about Aroma when the owner sat in on the local morning talk show on WPDH about 2 years ago. Talk of good, local & organic ingredients enticed me to check this place out...since then I have been there about 8-10 times with various family & friends. The waitresses are great & some have now come to recognize me. My experiences have not always been 5 stars, but pride for their service & compensation has made up for that on more than 1 occasion. Just because a restaurant has a few bad night does not mean its not a keeper, Ive had plenty of bad service elsewhere with no make-up...Love, Love, Love the Tuna, I get is EVERY time I go, Cheese Plate & Hummus are awesome...in-fact I have had most of the menu & never been disappointed! Ok...prices are higher that most places, but look what you are getting. I will frequenting this place on a regular basis!

We LOVE!!! Aroma Thyme. Not only is the experience of eating there always pleasant, the food delicious beyond words and the drinks list amazing, but what really grabs us as progressives, is the amazing thoughtfulness that is behind all of this. Marcus and family have created a restaurant that focuses above all on quality. The quality of ingredients is unmatched and the information available to patrons (ALEC info/alerts, chef guidance etc.) sets this restaurant apart in many ways (more restaurants should be like this!). We are blessed to have Aroma Thyme in our rotation of amazing, socially/environmentally/health-conscious restaurants here in the Hudson Valley. I am dreaming of guilt-free wings as we speak!!! We shall return again, and again and again.

Ive eaten at Aroma Thyme many times with friends and family. Our out of town "city" guests are always impressed with their dinners. Food always tastes fresh and is served to perfection. Service is excellent and if theres an issue, they correct it immediately. I also enjoy knowing that I am eating at a green restaurant that supports our local farmers. I usually get the Greek salad and the blue burger; both excellent choices! I also tried the calamari last week and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it because I HATE seafood:) It is a pricey dinner but if you have a special guest or a date night, eat there. Ellenville doesnt have many choices for great food and service, but Aroma Thyme really shines!

Aroma Thyme is one of the things I love most about this area... it would definitely hold its own in any major city in the world. Its not cheap, but considering the top-notch ingredients, its really a pretty good deal. And they are constantly having promotions and deals -- last time my partner and I went, we shared a great bottle of wine for half off, and thats just your average Wednesday! Service is fantastic; they are happy to fix any issue and always offer excellent suggestions when asked, a really great thing when one is faced with the exhaustively complete wine & beer list. Plus, a bonus: Free high-speed wifi and staff are very accommodating on the occasions when Ive brought my laptop to lunch and work.

Always a great experience. I love the beer selection and the range of food on the menu. This community minded restaurant has plenty of events and live music to suit any want. I am definately a carnivore but find myself a lot of times here with a vegan dish in front of me, dont get me wrong they do plenty of steak and fish here also, they just do vegan in a tasty way if you can believe that! Some say the prices are higher than the area dictates, yes the price is a little higher, but ask one of the owners the source of the food and they will know and quality ingredients cost more. Have been going to ATB for years and will continue.
