Please do not go to this place. I have been going here for years and I was one of those people who saw the decline in service, food and friendliness. I come here when its empty at night with only very few people and eat late night breakfast with my friend 2-3 days a week at most. The Hispanic waiter that looks like some Rambo-Practicing-VooDoo-looking creep in the back seen us many times and Ive always tipped generously because I sit there for a bit longer. The last time I stepped foot in that place, this guy was supposed to take our order, but first asked us, "are you guys going to sit here for two hours again?" Are you kidding me? Firstly, the restaurant was always empty and secondly, if you dont want me to stay longer, all you had to do was say so in a nicer way. I wont take offense, but THIS, I took offense to. I dealt with the horrible food. I tipped generously. We paid for three large dishes 2-3 times a week. And this is how they talk to customers. I wasnt cold-hearted enough to just step up and leave without giving a tip to this jerk and now I regret it. I called to try to complain the next day but all I kept getting was "the owner isnt here" etc. etc. Thats the last time Im stepping into this diner. Not only is it dirty, and the servers are always judging customers (yes I hear them at the back), but the owner and chef are careless and couldnt even make a proper dish. I cannot believe they replaced my home fries and gave me 7-8 pieces of French fries to replace it. I dont appreciate burnt toast, dried bacon and dirty dish ware. Sorry but this place is horrible, and the prices are outrageous too. Dont waste your money here. Parkview Diner is much better than this place in terms of food and service, although not GREAT, its still better than Vegas Diner.

Worst place to go if your are a minority. As we were leaving the establishment the owner of the establishment said to one of the waitress that " We have been invaded" as we left the place. We were a group of Asians and the service was horrible they only came to the table 3 times. And it was to take orders, give us the food, and to give us the check. We tried getting the attention of the wateriness multiple time to get refills of the water and to get the check . We also saw the owner walking to every table table asking if they were doing alright to all the tables except ours. The owner of the establishment didnt even acknowledge us and he was standing right there next to our table, ignoring our table completely. Out of all the restaurant I have ever been too this was the worst one i have been to yet and I go out to eat a lot at least twice a week

My friend and I, both local residents, have been going to the Vegas religiously every Sunday to have what call THE BREAKFAST!!!! French toast, muffins, oatmeal and so on. Since we both are figure competitors we are almost year round on a diet but on our off season are aloud cheat meals. So we chose Vegas for it. Apparently the servers , curious as to why we eat so much butter and maple syrup, started walking up to our table asking us that very question!!!! I have never felt more embarrassed and never realized it until then that those people all they do is criticize from a distance what you order and what you eat. What a shame that a diner with such good food and credentials would offer such degrading service. That episode ended our Vegas trips. Time to relocate:)

The owner, Larry Georgeton, was recently quoted in the NY Post lamenting the increasing minimum wages, which forced him to close his other diner, Del Rio. Directly from the Post: "Wed need to raise the burger to $9 from $6.45. I dont want to do that to my customers. Theyve been good to me. These are middle-class people." This is some sort of joke: Vegas overcharges shamelessly: $4 for cereal, $6 for 2 eggs. Georgeton, guess your Vegas customers havent been as good; or you have the same prices at Del Rio but decided to quote the price for a flop of a patty to sound like you arent just another greedy business owner in Bensonhurst.

Honestly it was an awkward situation. Not sure if it was because we were an interracial couple or what but we were stared at then placed in the back. We were a party of 5 and there were about 3 other parties there. They seated us and literally forgot us. We had to call for someone to get the menu, our drinks and call them again for the food. The food wasnt even worth the wait and disrespect. I thought a family style diner would be great but Ive never been mistreated and ignored like this before. Id give zero stars if possible. Never again. Lackluster food and bad service.

The lady at the front desk has the worst sense of customer service you can experience. Shes middle aged and has been there on Thursday mornings. The way I see her treat some walk in clientele is on the verge of a racist. In this review, keep in mind Im not mentioning food or otherwise, but a front desk individual so disgusting you lose your appetite. There are too many places to eat to have to deal or watch this troll treat guest with disrespect. Anyway, if you go, watch the trash at the front desk, then write your own thoughts.

I use to come here quite a bit few years back. Went back here recently and service seems to have gone way down. The food is still pretty good but the service took forever. We ordered waters as our drink and we received our entrees before we got our waters. We asked for refill on coffees and it wasnt until 10 minutes later another waitress refilled for us. The kitchen staff is pretty quick, once you order the food, it comes out fast. It is just dealing with the waiters that is annoyingly absent.

Been out at the bar all night and need some soakage before heading home? Well, if you are on that side of BK then this is where to go. Disco fries and gravy with a black and white shake may as well be the house special. Their other food is good too, they make a solid omelette and the burgers are good as well. The service can be rough at times on the over night but I guess I would be pissed too if I had to deal with a bunch of loud dopes that had been drinking all night too

Im going to miss Vegas diner. Grew up having many Sunday breakfast here with my grandparents. I Had many celebrations after family graduations and dance recitals here. I had my after-after prom meal here (June 9, 1994 was packed). I had many many meals here after being out in the Bay Ridge dance club scene. We would be right near Bridge View diner and would cab it to Vegas diner. So if the owners read this, Dont closed down the best diner in Brooklyn.

Everyone in the neighborhood raves about the Vegas Diner for breakfast so I thought I would give it a shot. I ordered pancakes and bacon, and the only thing halfway decent was the bacon. The pancakes were tough, and the syrup they give you is very unpleasant. The coffee was so-so, and the waiter refilled my friends cup with coffee, and totally ignored my cup sitting at the edge of the table empty! Will not be going back there.
