Believe it or not, Best Pizza actually does make great pizza. The place isnt much to look at--huge wood-burning oven aside--but the menu is. Their regular slice is good but the specialty stuff is where its at. The pickled veggie slice is like the perfected version of every nasty veggie slice youve seen at a mall food court, and with a great variety of veggies (califlower, onions, carrots, etc.). The white slice wasnt typical in that it had pecorino romano and caramelized onions in addition to the prerequisite fresh mozzarella, ricotta and basil. The interplay of the romano cheese and the caramelized onions with the ricottas creaminess was the main attraction here, and suffice to say it was great. The crust was light and crisp with a bit of char, yet soft and with decent flavor at the outer rim. This was my favorite slice out of the three, even though I felt like the fresh mozzarella was lost in the shuffle. The grandma was also great, with a particularly good sauce highlighted by the anchovies they add to it. The crust was nice and crisp with heavy char, but the mozzarella was once again an afterthought here. I also recommend the chicken parm and meatball heros which are affordable and stellar. Lastly, they stock Cheerwine for old school soda lovers. This place almost makes me want to go to Williamsburg (almost).

Theyre not kidding: this is literally some of the best pizza in Brooklyn. Tip: Get the veggie slice. It doesnt matter what season it is or what veggies are adorning your slice, it WILL be good. Guaranteed. Bests thin, NYC-style pizza is fantastic -- sure, a bit pricey if you start adding toppings (knocked a star for this), but frankly, worth it. Big slices (ones enough for this lady), fresh ingredients, the best crust probably ever. Their sandwiches are good, too. The pickled veggies they put in their Italian sub and their salads are unparalleled. The meatball sub -- omg the gooey goodness. Fantastic. Also -- we get delivery from here often, but this place is significantly better if you eat in store. Its almost always luke warm/cold-ish after delivery; when youre salivating at the thought of eating this stuff, it sucks to have to stick it in the oven.

Went here while on my vacation in NYC. We took the L across to Brooklyn and walked a few blocks. Totally worth the trek. Amazing NY style pizza. Cheese and sauce ratio is on point. A nice char on the bottom, not too much, just right. The decor is cute also. They had free water out in a huge mason jar with spigot on the counter. Seating is limited, i would imagine during peak hours youd be better off getting it to go. Lots of cool artwork on the walls to look at while you eat. They even let me use the restroom! Great experience, 10 out of 10 recommend.

Pizza is mediocre at best. Im suprised by the amount of comments saying that this is the best pizza ever, when in reality, its not. Pizza is not that good, especially for the price ($20 for just plain 20" pie, $6 more for pepperoni!). Google should change the "$" to a "$$" on whether its pricey or not. The pizza was burnt on the under part, and I could hardly taste any sauce. However, the decorations inside the pizzeria were nice. I wouldnt recommend this place if you are looking to get good pizza for a good price. I wouldnt come back.

Heard about this place after watching an online episode of VICE and it has been written up as one of the best pizza (no pun intended) places in NYC. So I finally swung by here one holiday I had to try out their grandma slices. It was good stuff...they crust the cheese on here which adds that extra crunch to the slice. I even tried the meatball sub which was good and used fresh ingredients. My only complaint is this place is rather pricey for a pizza joint...$4 for a grandma slice, youll need at least 2 to be satisfied.

Watched pizza show on vice and decided to give this place a try. Its not the best pizza at all and didnt live up to the hype. It was all bread. Barely any cheese. Couldnt taste cheese at all. I have it 3 start solely for its freshness, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, and great dough. But wheres the sauce and cheese? Thats what pizza is all about, at least for me. Wouldnt go back. Gonna keep searching for the best pizza place in NYC. Definitely the freshest though.

good, but not great and certainly not the "best" pizza. Too slow, dough tastes like grocery store dough, items are WAY small (cheapos)... and to top all this off- Pretentious prices without the flavor to back it up. Just some New kids slinging hipster pies that are not memorable in this borough known for pizza . Go to Carmines I or Forcella.....this place here is Lazy attempt to be cool, they need to reevaluate their business plan.

If you like really crunchy dry thin crust, youll love it. $20 - 20in pie. Although good, its a very light pizza. Crust was pretty hard, almost tiring to chew after a few slices. You can taste the brick oven in the crust, but in a good way. The basil leaves gives it a nice New York style flavor. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down, couldnt imagine eating this pizza with nothing to drink. But it was still good.

$26 for a peperioni pie the ones in queens are cheaper and taste better than this. My dog usually eats a piece of dough and even he threw up. The dough tasted like wood, very horrible taste of cheese and there was very little tomatoe sauce in my pie. And the pepperoni was so thin it had no flavor. Maybe other people find it tasty but for me as someone who eats pizzas once a week I didnt find it satisfying at all!

It was an honor to finally come here. I had the chance to come here during the summer for the first time ever. The wait however, was approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. That did not discourage me into coming in to Julianas. It was exciting by knowing that I was actually going because . ordered a large margherita with pepperoni to share with my dad. It didnt take so long for it to come despite how crowded it was

After hearing about this place from watching The Pizza Show on Munchies YouTube channel (hosted by Best Pizzas Frank Pinello) I had to try it for myself. Amazingly crunchy thin crust base with a well balanced tomato sauce and mozarella with the perfect chew. This cute neighborhood eatery offers pizza by the slice or as a 20" pie. Seating is limited and Id advise calling ahead for take-out

The pizza was not the best. I was actually disappointed by it. The ingredients are good for sure, but the assembly of it is not the best. Although the crust is excellent, I feel like it needed a tiny bit more sauce and probably 3x more cheese. I would not call it a real new york pizza, being a native new yorker. I probably wont be coming back here as i prefer san marcos and carmines.

I stopped in to this pizza place one evening, late at night. The pizza was delicious. Crunchy crusty, gooey cheese. I tried the chicken parm sandwich, which was really good with hot bubbly mozzeralla cheese. YUMMY. The meatball sandwich is really good on hero bread, super tasty red sauce and lot of hot gooey bubbly cheese. The prices are okay. The service was good.
