Our friends told us about Luca several years ago. Since trying the food, we have become great fans and frequent the restaurant on a regular basis. Other people we have introduced to the restaurant have been easily won over. The owner/ chef is a great guy, he regularly walks around the restaurant asking hows everything? If you dont see a dish that was on the menu, the Chef will gladly make it for you. The service is always impeccable and with a smile. This is a BYOB restaurant, I prefer a restaurant like this. There are certain wines I prefer with Italian dishes that are NEVER on any wine list and theres NO uncorking fee. TRY IT, YOULL DEFINITELY LIKE IT !!, and become hooked like my friends and me .

Our new favorite restaurant in North Jersey! We are thrilled to have the owner Luca and his wife Elizabeth back, serving affordable and delicious Italian cuisine. Easily accessible from 208/287 exit 58 or Skyline Drive if you live on the other side of the mountain. A great set up any tme of day - coffee/pizza bar on one side, dining room on the other, casual family dining in the middle. Must haves are Penne with the most divine Vodka sauce and the "cheescake for two". The portions are large and we always have enough for a take-home meal. For lunch, try a salad with topped with perfectly cooked salmon. Bring your own wine. You wont be rushed and Luca will ensure that you feel like a VIP.

Elegant atmosphere, elegant food. Whether we have pizza or a full dinner, we are treated very well. The restaurant does not have a liquor license, but they allow you to bring your own (BYO) alcohol -- and there is a liquor store, open in the evenings, a short walk away. This means you get dinner and drinks for a lot less than at a restaurant with a liquor license!

Food was fresh and outstanding ! Generous portions and DELICIOUS !! My wife said it was one of the best pieces of Salmon she ever had. The Tarragon Cream sauce with clams and mussels was to die for, then the Shrimp Scampi .....yum. Customers for Life. Thanks to Lou, Betty, and Tammy, see you soon !

The best pizza around ( comparing with Mahwah pizzerias, Oakland and Franklin Lakes). I have also eaten other menu items but always go for the pizza. Nice people too. I do not go there for soda, but it is disappointing when dining there as they have RC cola as the cola choice.

The Luca Trattoria has excellent food at reasonable prices. The portions were large. Had to take some food home. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The restaurant was beautiful inside. I would recommend this place.

Lovely place. Great pizza. Birch beer gives a different kind kind of buzz. The woman working there was friendly and kind and didnt even judge us when we (both thirty or above) spilled an entire birch beer.
