Sad to say I must give Deli King of Clark, which I wanted very much to like, a bad review. Stopped by with a friend for lunch today. Ordered a cup of coffee and soup of the day, Split Pea. First bad sign: coffee tasted like it was brewed six hours ago, and when I asked the waiter if he could brew a fresh pot, he insisted the stale coffee was just brewed. To his credit, he did bring me another cup which was fresh. Split pea soup was mediocre at best, not even up to par with most diners (and curiously brownish in hue not green). I ordered chopped liver on rye, a staple for any self-respecting kosher deli. It was terrible. They somehow minced the chopped liver to the point it was airy, flavor a bit sour, the opposite of good chopped liver. Complimentary pickles they bring out at beginning of meal were the best part. I should note, there is a Deli King in Linden, same name different owners. THAT Deli King is tremendous, old world style and awesome. THIS Deli-King was a dud- should mention I ordered a potato pancake, which the waiter never brought. I just paid the bill and left. Will never return.

Definitely one of the best kosher delis in NJ. I never ever had a bad experience at this deli. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious. I used to go almost every day when I worked in Linden, NJ to this deli. They have a amazing deli wrap there! The whole staff is extremely friendly. Grace usually always helped me and her service was always above and beyond excellent. Kenny the owner is also a great guy. He even gave me a free sandwich when he heard it was my birthday! Now that I work in Newark, there are definitely times when I miss the deli king of Clark. I would highly recommend this deli if you are looking for kosher food.

Food is very good. However, customer service is very lacking for 2 reasons: 1. They close at 8, which is fine. However, I have come in for dinner on several occasions around 7:40 and they "snapped" at me stating "we close at 8, the food is already put away" 2. I have tried to call in a take-out order many times, at least 30 - 45 mins. prior to their closing, and several times they have told me that they are "done for the night and not taking any more orders" It seems to me that they really dont value their long time customers.

There arent many good Kosher delis anymore. This one is fair at best. The customer service at times is terrible. If there is a problem they behave as if it is a inconvenience for them to correct it. The food quality is inconsistent. The corn beef at times is very fatty. The prices are outrageous. I only go there if I absolutely have to.

The restaurant had a great friendly environment and were happy to help and answer questions. The starter with pickles and there house salad was phenomenal. I ordered the sloppy joe with pastrami and corned beef, per suggestion of the owner. It was perfect.

This place is definitely expensive, but the food quality is top-notch. Its a 100% kosher deli, so dont plan on getting your turkey and swiss here. Also, they have table service in an adjacent room, so go there first if you plan on staying for lunch.

An absolute RIP-OFF!!! They are charging about $12 for a sandwich WITHOUT any side. You can get the same thing for about $8 with a side of fries/chips elsewhere. The food is just okay, Ive definitely had better for less money.

Best deli in NJ! Top quality. Worth the price for good kosher deli like you would find at a top NYC deli! Good to eat in or take out.
