What a fantastic place to grab some food! My hubby and I joined our friends Mr. and Mrs. S there the other night and had a great time!! We decided to do a late lunch/early dinner before our 5p tickets for Garden Glow. And at 3:30p on a Wednesday we found a parking space no problem and basically had the restaurant to ourselves! We were the only ones at a table, with just a person or two at the bar behind us. We were welcome to seat ourselves, so we picked a booth and got comfy. I had a perfect view of Space Balls, which was being projected against one of the walls! We ordered some appetizers to start - Fried Pickles, Fried Deviled Eggs and Pork Poutine. The eggs were unique and delicious! The panko gave a nice crunch, the pickle and mustard on top gave a little zing and the tomato jam was the perfect amount of sweet! But I have to say that my absolute favorite was the Poutine! Im a total sucker for waffles fries. I feel like they always have the right balance of crunch versus chewy inside. They were also nicely seasoned and covered with cheese and bacon. Need I say more? My hubs and I shared the cheeseburger with a side salad. The burger was so juicy and moist that it fell apart more and more with every bite. But that didnt matter due to the great flavor! I also got to try a bite of Mrs. Ss Monte Cristo, a sandwich Ive always wanted to try. She made a good choice - it was great!! I would definitely go back to get one of my own!

Crows is definitely one of my favorite bar/restaurants in St. Louis. Where else besides my house will you see New Order posters? (and a ton of other cool bands are also represented). Heavy Metal Brunch on weekends is definitely worth checking out (even if you dont like metal) because the food is great. My fave is the New Wave Bacon Egg and Cheese Burger and Waffle Fries. I also love their Caesar salad. Their Bloody Mary is made with Zing Zang so its just the right level of spicy and I get cravings for it. They have a good rotating beer selection. If you are a nightowl, check out Arbitrary Judgment Mondays at 10pm. I initially thought it was trivia but the night we went it was really more like a creative writing assignment, which we definitely enjoyed.

This is among the lowest ratings for anything or any place that Ive ever given. The only excuse I could make for this place is that it was brunch..? Even so, it wasnt all that busy.. At any rate, my wife and I arrived at about 11:25am. Finally, we got someone to take our order at about 11:40am... and finally gave up and left at about 12:58pm. We waited for over 1.5 hours for food that never arrived. No appetizer, no salad, no entrees.. nothing. Additionally, we overheard a server saying that she had been waiting more than an hour for an appetizer for someone. Kitchen issues? Based on this experience, we will never return. The food sounded great, but if you have plans the day you might decide to try this place out... maybe find somewhere else to eat?

The food was better than expected both times that I went to the Crows Nest. The metal brunch is amazing! The music is top notch. They may have recently changed the bloodies. Someone said that their bloody was too sweet; Mine was nice and spicy. Fair portions. The wait staff was down to earth and prompt. I love the environment. Really relaxed. I would call this place a bar (it still has tables, booths, and outside seating). I wouldnt ever call this place a dive. Its too clean for that, and they really paid attention to the details when it was decorated. Im going back for a third round later tonight. Even if I do have a shitty experience (which doesnt seem likely), I would still say that this place is above average.

Good beer selection and interesting eats (tasty). Staff and patrons are friendly. The overall atmosphere is very casual. Edit (2/20/2014): The beer selection has decreased and staff turnover lately means some nights can be a little overwhelming for the limited staff. They are still friendly but service isnt quite as personal or quick as it was a year ago. The food has gotten better though - it was already decent but its definitely improved.

This place is pretty lame. The food is obviously mediocre, especially compared to its predecessor, The Blessing Deacon. The wait staff is good, which is unfortunate because the owner regularly screws them over, having them wait for checks way past pay day. Avoid this place. Its really unfortunate, because I thought it was at least an OK restaurant before I heard numerous horror stories from several employees, past and present.

This is the only bar Ive been to where a red beer (Bloody Beer on the menu) is advertised on the menu. They make their bloody in house, too! Their chicken and waffles is phenomenal, and I love their huevos rancheros. I do wish they carried the green tobasco sauce, though! The service is pretty good considering how busy they are.

This place sucks !! The owner and bartender. They are very stupid and ignorant. We got kicked out for bringing in food when the bartender said that we could and then order drinks. The owner was a complete idiot about it and called my friend stupid. I will never spend my money at this white trash hell hole!!!

Went here for the Metal Brunch. Apart from an over all great atmosphere, I had the best chicken and waffles Ive eaten in my entire life. The chicken was great but the show stopper was the waffles. Absolutely perfect in every way. Crisp outside with a beautiful warm interior. Just amazing.

Amazing spot for a casual lunch! I highly recommend the Burger Dip, and their French Onion Soup is the best Ive ever had. Small music themed pub, and theyve always had a classic comedy movie showing when Ive been there. Expect to wait a bit for the food, but its well worth it.

Best new place in town. Its even worth the drive to Maplewood. Dont be frightened by the Brain Poppers and Frog legs, they also have a great burger, steak, mac and cheese and of course, waffle fries! Staff is fun and friendly...Kenny is the greatest bartender ever.

Decent menu and prices. I like that they often play 80s movies and such on the big screen. The menu is kind of small but high quality. Cool grungy metal head rock head type atmosphere but not loud and obnoxious. Cute gothy type waitress.

The downfall is the wait staff. I get it you have tattoos you hate yourself its your job to take an order drop the attitude. Id give this place a second chance off the food. And it wouldnt kill them to stop breakfast at 1 instead of 3.

The food is great, and the beer selection is nice. Unfortunately, Ive never been here when they havent been out of stuff on the menu that Id like to try. Still, the second choices have never failed to satisfy.

This is a neat place! Laid-back, casual atmosphere, awesome menu, and really great staff. I love that they have upscale food items with none of the pretense, and a wide variety of beer to choose from!

Delicious elevated bar food, great selection of vegetarian and even some vegan options. Great local and craft beer selection. Heavy metal themed brunch on weekends is a lot of fun.
