Cambridge Deli is a simple, unassuming local grill that makes great food at a reasonable price. Theres nothing fancy about it; you wont find rare cheeses or meat marinated in secret sauces, and no dish is named after a politician or sports star. But thats what makes it so great! The friendly staff are happy to chat and help you figure out what you want and it comes up freshly made in a few minutes. Try the onion rings. Im not normally a fan of them but theyre spiced and perfectly crispy here. Delicious! (One more note: my wife and I can never remember the name of this place and always just call it "EAT EAT" based on the lighted sign they put on the sidewalk every day.)

secret, underrated place. only open during workday hours (M-F, 8am-6pm -- or something close to that) -- but really special place. The guy is incredibly friendly, and you order things via conversation. add what you want, hell suggest things, etc, and make it right then. Its always awesome (I get the tuna melt a lot).

Cambridge deli is awfully convenient, and good for fast food, but thats what it is. More or less a local fast food grill. Its better than going down to Wendys or McDonalds, and they have *lot* more variety, but youre looking at sandwiches, burgers, ribs, and pizza here.

Love this place. Small inside but delicious food, and cheaper than more mediocre places in Central. Get the Tuna Club or the BBQ Pork Po-Boy. The fries on the side are great always coming with an onion ring or two on top. Owner is very friendly.

Cheap, fast, GOOD food. This place is great. Nothing too fancy, just a solid deli menu made to order. This place is a real gem. Definitely one of the best places for lunch in Central Square. I wish I knew about it when I was a grad student!

Friendly service and all food cooked fresh while you wait in small, but comfortable surroundings. Amazing burgers and other items at very reasonable prices. Im a regular patron and you should be too if you enjoy a quality value.

The best sandwiches in Central Square by far, and the specials are great value. Go there on Fridays for a fish sandwich with fries for $5.85.
