A real Old Fashioned soda shop, they make the ice creams all on site, NEVER HAD ANYTHING BAD HERE! Food, ice cream, banana split, shakes, all wonderful every time. And if you think "soda" is just a coke or root beer, stop by, order one and learn something from times by gone. This place is one of a kind, and holds a special place in many hearts. My kids never feel a trip to New Orleans is complete without stopping here, and being they are open til 9 every night, its and easy stop to make.

My first trip here. I was so excited... till I got there and the people behind the counter were both obviously in a bad mood. They both kept asking me did I want something else... What I really wanted was a minute to look at my options and explore. Had they been nicer, I might have ordered something more than a single scoop. Ill be back. Hopefully theyll be in a better mood.

Food is OK, but owner of this place has huge ego about being open all year. Not the nicest guy... The vibe of the place is pretty cute otherwise. You tend to feel sticky when youre here though. Like you need to wash your hands after you leave. Great place to get ice cream.

Nice retro feel to the building. The food is like a better version of stuff you would make for yourself in your own kitchen for lunch. I enjoyed picking some songs on a vintage style jukebox while waiting for my amazing peanut butter chocolate chip ripple ice cream cone.
