At first I was not going to do a review; however, it was very upsetting to see how disappointed my fiancee was with the service.... Better yet lack there of. We were referred to your establishment with high hopes of good vibes, food, and drinks. We got none of the above. First off, when we first entered the establishment, not ONCE were we greeted nor acknowledged. We would have not felt over looked if there were at least other customers that the (3 men) opening workers were attending to; yet, we were the only ones there. We still sat and looked at the menu (for a minimum of 5 mins) still waiting for some type of acknowledgement, service, or something and still got nothing. Those guys didnt look at us they looked through us as though we were invisible and we have never felt so unwelcome and this was a very big disappointment. We will NEVER return nor refer anyone to this establishment.

Olive or Twist is a must for those unfamiliar or visiting. Ill go over a few reasons why. 1) Bar - Best bartenders in town. Period. They are masters of their craft. They make so many crazy cocktails and are happy to make one based on your taste. Ive never walked away disappointed. 2) Food - Holy Moses. The food here is stellar. They are now a full service restaurant, and EVERYTHING is delectable. Some items more indulgent, and some that will fit any diet. I highly recommend the poutine as well as the andoullie crusted catfish. Oh man. Its absurdly good. Oh and the brunch.... 3) Atmosphere. The place will get busy because its a place you want to be. The style here is so cool and hip. I just love the way it looks. Not too bright, not too dark. Just right. Come snag some happy hour whiskey smashes and enjoy your new favorite spot.

Dont get me wrong, I love this place. Food is great. Most drinks are good. Crafty for sure. However, the female bartender with the half-shaved head and little pony tail (never got her name) is extraordinarily RUDE. She never smiled, never said thank you, never said peep except to make rude comments. She seemed put out to have to help me at all. She proceeded to stop in the middle of making my drink to make time to talk to her friends and wipe down the bar. She threw my check on the bar. I have never had a problem with any of the other service staff. They have all been more than polite and helpful. She is awful and is not at all a welcome or positive asset to this establishment.

Showed up yesterday at 7:20 with my wife to enjoy a couple of drinks and appetizer before a get together with friends. After 15 minutes we were greeted by Tim who showed us where the drink specials were listed. He handed us the menus so we could see the rest of the drinks available, followed with "dont get too deep into the food or appetizers because the kitchen is closed." At 7:35 pm??? On a SATURDAY??? Not a place I Ill ever go back to. We were so excited because our friends suggested it to us as a great place. Unfortunately not the experience we were able to share.

Great environment, small bar, tables outside fill up quickly. Happy hour cocktails are reasonably priced and very good. Tap beer selection is very limited, but its a cocktail bar after all. Havent tried the food, although several looked good. Pretty close to Rum House so one could grab a few drinks here, and eat there if the menu isnt suitable. If I enjoyed cocktails more, Id have given it 5 stars, but Im more of a beer guy. Its a very nice place though, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to others. Just be sure to get there early if you want a table.

Well, I finally made it to the revamped Olive or Twist since they expanded and started to offer full meals, and I was thrilled with the service, the food, and the cocktails! I had Tuna Nicoise salad for lunch, and it was delicate and fresh and clean but flavorful. My friend and I played cocktail roullette, told the server our favorite liquor and flavors, and the bar created the drink - both were delicious and exactly for what we had been hoping. Highly recommend (avoid the wooden bench seats if your bottom needs more cushioning!)

Food and drinks were expensive for the quality. We were the first ones there and sat down at 11am for "brunch". Got our first drinks at 11:30. Got our food at 12 after watching nearly every other table get theirs first. The "Bloody Garden" that is advertised on their menu as "packed with as many vegetables as we can get into the glass" came with an olive and an okra. Pathetic for a $10 drink. The atmosphere is trying really hard to be industrial. More man buns and suspenders on goobers than should be allowed by law.

We went for brunch this past Sunday. It was crowded, but we were able to quickly snag some seats at the bar. We paid $10 the unlimited mimosa and $15 for the craft (think boozy) mimosa respectively and both are worth it. They make huge pours and arent stingy with getting you a refill. The food didnt take too long and was pretty good. Not the best chicken and waffles Ive ever had, but good and reasonably priced. Im sure well be back.

This is the best place for brunch and mimosas--bar none! They offer bottomless craft mimosas that will knock your socks off. They offer at least 20 different flavors and they are all delicious! Sit on the patio, if its not too hot and enjoy the ambiance. The chicken and waffles and the grits and grillades are the best 2 meals. I only gave 4 stars because the rest of the brunch menu is just okay.

Hands down worst service EVER! Food definitely not worth the wait either. I ordered bananas Foster french toast. Was served pre-made french toast sticks, with carmalized sugar glaze and fresh bananas sliced on top. Nothing like what was decribed on menu or pictured on their Facebook or website. Waiter totally ignored us for the TWO HOURS we were stuck there in agony!!!

Was excited to try this place and the descriptions on the menu show a lot of potential. Food was okay, but seemed like they half-assed it. My food was a take out and my sandwich was thrown into the carrier (I had to put it together myself to eat it). And they served me my tea in a soup container. So, just meh

Classic and forgotten cocktails created and served with love and a modern sensibility! This place is AMAZING! There is an astounding amount of hand crafted cocktails to discover. Backed by owners who care about that extra step and superbly capable bartenders, this is the best bar in Baton Rouge, hands down.

Visited here recently and the food was filling and tasty. The drinks were perfect compliments to our meal , and our server was awesome and was working it all by herself. I personally love the Menus. Overall we had a pleasant time and would visit again. If I had to Olive or Twist Id still chose to do both

Very nice atmosphere, pretty lively on a wednesday night. Bartenders seem kinda detached; not necessarily in a bad way. They just seem kind uninterested in whats going on. Still they made some very decent drinks, for an outstanding price I might add. $5 from their Happy Hour special 11-2 every night.
