I grew up in Greensburg, Indiana. This was always a fun place to go - so, I do have some nostalgia about A&W Drive In. But still, it is a flash from the past that keeps on keeping on. A&W Root Beer really is best out of the tap in a frosty mug. Get one here. I personally like the foot long coney dog or the pizza burger and the fries. This is not a foodie place. It is a drive-in with drive-in food. Fun. Instructions: Drive up, turn your car off. Turn your lights off until you are ready to order. The menu is posted outside. When you know what you want, turn your lights on. The waiter/waitress will come to you, take your order. Turn your lights off. Your food will be brought to you when its ready. Have fun eating in your car :)

I love A&W. It is a drive-in style restaurant with a burger and hotdogs style menu. My daughter loves the experience, probably just because its different OR it could be because she knows they have some of the best ice cream, floats, and shakes in town. Either way, if you are looking for a throwback with delicious guilty pleasures, this is your place.

Dont be fooled by the exterior. Visiting here is like the KFC in Corbin KY, ironically also a Yum! Company, Its just an old building housing the same restaurant that is in the new shiny buildings :(. Want good old fashioned drive in? Check out Genes in Anderson. Much better, and definitely a one of a kind. .
