Unfortunately, I dont live in French Lick or I would eat here every day! I was excited when I had first heard about this place. I love German food and its not a common thing to see while I am traveling. Ive been here a few times and every single time, I leave with a smile on my face and a full belly! I usually order the weiner schnitzel and spaetzel but sometimes I get red cabbage instead of spaetzel. Both are amazingly flavorful and satisfying. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help out with the menu. The portions are very large and worth the money. I feel like this place is a little too hidden though and Im always sad that its not packed full of people. I try to make my way down there when I can to give them my money in exchange for a delicious meal.

The food was awesome. The decor and atmosphere were very nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful with the menus. But, the service was terrible. We were in on a Thursday night, moderately busy, several empty tables around. We waited for menus, waited a half hour for drinks, and didnt think we were ever going to get a second drink. Bottom line: really good food and a neat restaurant if you have plenty of time.

My whole family just walked out of there. They took me there for my 40th birthday. The waitress seated us and walked off. 10 minutes later she came and got our drink order. 30 minutes later after another customer came in after us and was waited on drink brought and his order placed and we still hadnt received are drinks we were very aggravated and left. On the way out no one even noticed we left. :(

Love this place! I have eaten in several "German" restaurants, and the food here is truly authentic, since its friendly owners are directly from Germany. The staff is made up of family and friends who are capable of answering any questions you have about the food, German or American. The Bavarian decor is a delightful feast for your eyes, with pieces straight from their own collection!

Great atmosphere, very cheerful staff, and absolutely amazing food. We probably spent an hour or more here. The music was eclectic in the background but soft enough that we could comfortably talk across the table. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Awesome food, great staff, friendly and top notch service. Highly recommend if your a fan of German fair youre going to love it... Oh and dont forget to order the pretzel with beir cheese, just fantastic.

Delicious food. Atmosphere was s little strange, like walking into your grandmothers living room. But the #15 on the menu (pork tenderloin with sautéed onions) was worth every penny.
