We made our first visit, to BRAVO, in Nov. 16. We were greeted by Adriana, and served by Eduardo. The greeting was welcoming and we were seated near the entrance; a sensitive move as one member of our party is elderly. The interior is bright with fine lighting. The restaurant has grown as Bravos success has. Same as Mavery, en Mira Flores. The walls have beautiful, whimsical paintings. The art is Perúvian themed and appears to be by the same artist. Our party consisted of 30 - 90 year olds. The table height and chairs were comfortable for all in our group. We went for lunch. They offer lunch specials, (on a separate page from the menu). The menu is varied and we ordered several of Bravos Perúvian dishes. Check the delightful menu, online. There are some childrens offerings, as well as some burgers. We ordered: ceviche, chaufa de Pollo, yucca huacaina, y the Bravo steak sandwich. We only had one dessert, flan. We had fresh, flavorful, chica, to drink. Yes, there is INCA COLA. Everything was served together, rather than having the yucca as a first plate. The presentation is simple, not overboard. The taste of the food is, well, exactly what you hope - Wonderful. Bravo provides several traditional sauces, including rocoto. The rice dish was perfect. The ceviche, just delicious. Las Peruanas gave it two thumbs up! The yucca was tender and the sauce ideal. My sandwich, a house speciality, had plenty of tender steak, perfectly cooked, bacon, and melted Provolone. Muy rico! This sandwich also comes with potato sticks. Havent had that since visits to Bembos and Tip Top, en Lima. I will order it again. It was so good. A word about our server, Eduardo. He is pleasant, polite, professional, and he knows what he is doing. Ask for him, if you think of it. We had a very nice time and a tasty lunch; all at a fair price. We will return, soon. Update March 19, 2017: We have returned several times. Its a delightful experience, so quick and easy to get to. A block South of Oakland Park Boulevard. Head there today, or very soon. Bravo, BRAVO!

Not my “preferred” Peruvian food spot anymore…Hope management finds this review helpful! On Sat Feb 25th, I ordered 2 Lomo Saltados to go ($14.50 each plus Tip; yes, I always tip even if it is to go). We were all settled in at home and ready to have a nice evening with some nicely sautéed sirloin strips flamed with tomatoes, onions and glazed with red vinegar and soy sauce…Yum! Huge disappointment: The beef, the tomatoes, the onions, they all were completely insipid, bland… very upsetting! We tried saving it by adding some Peruvian hot sauce and salt but to no avail. Our dinner was ruined and we had to throw it away, eating pasta instead. I called Bravo to let them know of our poor experience and Jose quickly apologized, saying he would certainly replace it or refund my money. In their words “We have a music event on Saturdays and we are quite busy now but next time ask for me and I will take care of it”. A few days later however, when we were ready for them to make good on their promise we were told: I will call you back in 5mins as I need to get approval from manager. It’s now 24hrs later and I am still waiting for the call back. Pros: Authentic Peruvian flavors and a great variety of dishes. Ceviches are fresh and just the right mixed and amount of spices. Delish! Risotto and Salmon is one my favorites! Cons: I feel their prices seem to continually increase. Hopefully they’ve reached a cap. They are trying a bit too hard to change the atmosphere to a more traditional type of commercial restaurant. Hostess, Valet Parking? I miss the less complicated vibe far from being pretentious. Quality consistency –Their signature dishes cannot bet a hit or miss…they must be consistently good. a) Will I continue eating at Bravo? - Yes! But I will certainly start exploring other Peruvian spots. b) Will I highly recommend it as I used to? – probably not!

I know this restaurant since a moved to Florida in 2008 and it was a little nice restaurant, now it has grown 3 or 4 times its size. I always loves its food but today I had a not too good experience. My fiancee ordered "ceviche de la casa" with almost not spice, it was very spicy so the server took it back but it came spicy as the first one, also we ordered causa de pulpo ( octopus cause ) and the potato it wasnt smashed as it should and it didnt taste as the last time, we realized it was missing the avocado. When she mentioned to the server than the ceviche still spicy, he said is because the yellow pepper ( aji amarillo )... but the ceviche doesnt go with yellow pepper ! my fiancee said. As peruvian we can tell when an ingredient is wrong or something is missing. Sadly is hard to see the owners on the weekends. I love this place but is becoming a big restaurant that pays more attention to the appearance than the quality of the food.

I am a picky eater so my review may not be the best to judge this place. Went here for lunch. Friend had shrimp soup and said it was delicious. The soup does not come in a cup or a normal sized soup bowl. It comes in a small caldron. I should have taken the waitresss hint when she said my friend and I could share as she would put the soup in 2 bowls. Friend also had the Cuban sandwich which he took home to eat for dinner because he was full from the soup. He said it was delicious. In fact he had half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day because that too was oversized (this is a compliment). I had a fish dish smothered in a yellow cream sauce. It was good except I think I tasted cilantro which I do not care for (thats the picky eater in me). The dish came with rice and potatoes which seems to be a Peruvian standard (2 starches). I will have to try a sandwich next time.

Ive eaten here at least 4 times before. There are so many good things on the menu that its hard to pick something. Tonight I chose something new Escobeche De Pescado. It was the most delicious fish, rice, sweet potatoes and onions that I have eaten there or anywhere. The delicious sauces they give you gave it an over the top flavor. There is also a nice selection of wines to choose from. My one and only complaint tonight was that the AC wasnt working as well as it should have. A little bit warm, otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating... but dont take that too seriously, the food was 5 stars. We were in a group of 12 and no one had any complaints. They accommodated separate checks for all our groupings and got it right. We loved it.
