I went to Village Inn to have a nice brunch with my two-year-old daughter. The hostess was on the phone when we walked in the door, and soon a line formed behind us of others watining to be seated. It was 10 am, and by no means, rush hour. We waited a total of about five minutes to be seated, which is a bit ridiculous considering the place was not very busy. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to come by. By then, we were ready to order our food. I ordered a scrambler with pancakes. The picture showed eggs scrambled up with peppers, onions, ham, and bacon, topped with gravy and a side of hashbrowns. It also came with three pancakes. When I got the food, in a decent amount of time, it was a skillet full of country potatoes. There were peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and cheese mixed in with the potatoes and the scrambled eggs sat on top of that mess, were plain, and undercooked. There were no hashbrowns, just country potatoes and no gravy at all. I ate a few bites of it but the potatoes filled me up quite a bit. I was also offered a free piece of pie for pie Wednesday, which was the only good part of the experience. The waitress came after the food was delivered to ask which pie I would like. When she came, she handed me the pie and the check and then ignored me for the rest of the time. The manager walked by a few times, along with several other waitresses. Nobody asked if I needed anything else, which I needed a box to put my plate of potatoes in so I could use them later. (If I pay 10 dollars for something, I am going to get my use out of it) I also needed a box for the pancakes so my daughter could eat them later. Anyway, nobody ever stopped, my waitress kept walking by and looking at me but never stopped, even when I nodded at her to come by. I use to work in the service industry and hold the utmost respect for servers. This woman was by no means a professional, and clearly hated her job, which made my experience at Village Inn unpleasant. I finally just got up and left to pay for my food without ever getting a box. The manager was helping to buss tables but never once went around to ask individual tables how their experience was. Had he done that he would have known that he had an unhappy customer in his store, as a good manager would. While paying for my food the hostess asked how everything was, and I replied "Not very good" to which she smiled and gave no reply. Had the roles been reversed, I would have asked what was wrong and retrieved my manager immediately to assess the situation. All in all, the experience was terrible and I left upset that I paid 11 dollars for food that was not appealing at all. I should have complained to get my money back, but it is just not in me to make a scene, especially with my two-year-old in my arms. I was really excited to try this place out and report back to my husband so we could come here again, but that will not be happening. I will never come here again.

I will never go back to village inn in Rivweview FL 33579, managers determined and treated my case . . . Over the fact that i request a cup and a glass of water. ( They charge me extra not once ..twice .... I AM LACTOSE INTOLERANT. Actions say more than your words. Village inn in Riverview FL sucks so bad here lately. I came to eat, not to be judged and watched. Why should i have to explain all my business over a empty cup. NOTE: Always check your receipt for over charges, as well as they gossip and judge. Panera bread 100 %

Coffee tasted like it had been through the filter 5 or 6xs it was so watered down. Asked for more coffee and was never brought more. My sons silverware looked like it had never been washed and then stuffed in a napkin for him to use. Needless to say that took away all of our appetites. Had an intermittent smell of something sour throughout our entire meal. No soap in the restroom. Overall experience was nasty!

Weve been here a hundred times at night and Sandy is awesome. The food is always good and the service is always great. Today is the second time Ive come during the day, and the second time the order is wrong and the food is inedible. (Albeit the service is better this time). Clearly incapable of handling any busy time of day.

I like going to Village Inns. The food is good and served quickly. LOVE the pies. The staff is always friendly. My only complaint....the tables are always sticky. I dont know why but Ive never been to one that wasnt sticky. Again, my only complaint but obviously not enough to keep me from going back.

Crowded Wednesday. Great inexpensive food. Great homespun feeling initially. Great servers who work really hard to please. Management not people friendly and seem preoccupied, thereby, do not tend to tables often enough to see that all is well ... when it usually is.
