Edit: 11/25/16 DO NOT GO HERE. Ive never seen such intense food poisoning! A few days ago we ordered from Sakura King. I ordered the bourbon chicken, he had the chicken lo mein. About an hour later, my boyfriend was participating in a vomit spiral that lasted for a consistent 24 hours. I also was sick, but not as pitifully as he was, because I didnt eat as much. I can only imagine if this food had such a detrimental affect on my poor boyfriend, many other people must have experienced it, too. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT TO LIVE The children who run the restaurant are extremely unhelpful. Also, this restaurant refuses to provide refunds. Original: This place consistently has pretty punctual service, but today I had an absolute nightmare trying to order sushi. I placed my order at 5:32pm. When I still hadnt received my food around 6:45, I called & they told me my order was on the way. Its 4 miles from Sakura King to my house, so when 7:00 rolled around & I still hadnt received my food, I called again. They then proceeded to tell me they had JUST received my order. How did you just receive my order if you said it was on the way 15 minutes ago. Im appalled.

Sigh Ive been living in plant city for 6 years now have been ordering from this place for About 3-4 years. I have to say 3 years ago the service and quality of the food was a lot better than it is today. I ordered fried dumplings, burnt. And as Im sitting waiting to pick up my food there are two children in the dining area, theyre playing on their iPads and start to bicker at one another, then the boy grabbed his sisters arm really rough and squeezing her arm and says " I told you not to use my iPad without asking me" in a very aggressive tone. Mind you this boy is ALOT bigger than the younger little girl, its just not a place for kids to be hanging around. And also I heard the workers arguing in the back kitchen. Just rude customer service. I know deep down inside the women who usually and use to run the front all the time is a good women but they might be going through some issues. Hopefully theyll change cause I use to love this place

We live in Plant City and have been here a few times. Had a poor experience each time with tonight being the worst and last time we ever go here. 1: Owners young children are rude and obnoxious. They are the only "waiters" in the place and the boy is so arrogant when you try to correct an error with your order. 2: A trampoline in the dining room?? They have a mini trampoine that both kids were jumping on and an older man later sat on it and loudly played with the boy. 3: Woman did excercises in the dining room after she made our sushi. 4: Kids and family lied to a customer that their delivery driver had already left with their order and laughed about it when they spoke with the drivwr on his way out. 5: An employee was smoking in the restaurant. 6: They overcharged us for deep frying a sushi roll. Previous visits was $1 per roll, now $3 per roll. We have learned our lesson. OSHA is getting a call Monday morning!

If you are going to read one review before go to this place read this one. We came into a restaurant completely dishevelled and disorganized. Chairs folded over tables and For a second I thought the restaurant was closed, then I saw the Asian lady behind the sushi bar who didnt even acknowledge our presence. We sat down thinking the waiter may come out soon. 5 minutes went by and I told my wife lets go. Before we got up a boy who couldnt be older than 12 walking in a very careless and slow pace aproached us and said for here or to go . We said for here, then he said what u want. He didnt take notes he only shouted in his lenguage what we ordered to the lady on the back. 15 min later he came out with our food, no utensils or napkins provided. I have to say that the sushi quality was good so I would order to go next time. However the overall experience was laughable.

I love their food, but they have their elementary school children acting as wait staff (who are very impolite, treat elderly people poorly, and operate at a 10 year old professional customer service level... because they are 10 years old). The mother sits at the middle table playing on her phone. They also eat dinner as a family in the middle of the dining area with customers in the restaurant, which makes you feel awkward for interrupting them to get a refill, sushi reorder, or ask for your check. You cant just order delivery/to go because the portions end up smaller. Again, love the food. If they would act like a real business they could make a killing. If they added a bar, they could run the town. IF they hire a baby sitter, of course.

I have been a loyal person for this company. but the past 2 orders have been HELL!! The last order I ordered 3 main dishes and we only received 2.... I paid the difference and said nothing. Today I ordered 2 dishes and they send out 1.... THen they tried to get me to pay the dinner prices when I called during the lunch price. They told me it would be 40 minutes and it was longer.... they tried to get me to sign the paper and I said NO!!! Get me what I ordered on what I paid... it was almost a $1 difference and it was their fault they did this.... I did not sign the paper because the driver said it would be changed when they finally put it in (probably do tip to get the rest).... This is not right and illegal.

I love this place. Yes, it doesnt look much like a restaurant to sit in with a large group and have a merry ole time while enjoying drinks and food, but it is family owned and run and i love that about this place. The boy and girl go to school with my kids and i believe its a good thing that they get the experience of the restaurant business. And come on people, they are kids. Do you really think they are gonna be all smiles and happy-go-lucky? No of course not. But they do what they are asked. The owners are very nice people and the food is great. I would not go there anymore if they ever left the business. Going to sakura king is helping a local family.

This was the second time Ive ordered from them. Its also the second time they got most everything wrong. Food was ordered specifically to each person ordering. All orders missing ingredients/ and spice. Extras that I was charged for. And on top of it all they are 2.2 miles from my house and have been here before. I also gave them the address. They gave the driver the wrong address and it took 2 hours for my half ass food to get to me. Come to find out that they have an 8 year old little girl answering the phone to take orders. Tried to call and explain the dilemmas to no use. And!!!! Had a cockroach in the box they used to package my food.
