This restaurant is everything you would want in the perfect place to eat. The atmosphere is great, old rustic, historical. The food is simply fantastic. Everything they make is home-made and the ingredients are all the best quality and they are produced/grown. Great for every meal and the Dessert menu is the best part. You cant go there without trying their famous Toffee Pudding dessert. I am a food expert if I dont say so myself and that is tops down the best dessert I have ever eaten and I didnt even think I liked toffee.

Delicious food - nice variety on the menu - Great view and atmosphere on the patio, great service, reasonable prices - what more could you ask for ? - oh yeah - its located in the middle of nowhere a town with no cell service for 5 miles in any direction means no data no wifi no map directions and GPS doesnt work there either - people print out a paper map before you drive there - but some people think thats a good thing. - Great place to visit after Steep Rock Preserve -

The GW is my go to restaurant. They have great food all around. The place is kind of upscale and they you may want to get a reservation in advance as this restaurant may become packed quickly if the outside seating isnt being utilized that particular day. It can also become expensive with a group but everything I have eaten here has been excellent. I go here about 2-3x a month sometimes more and the wait staff is always very nice.

Was in the area looking for some fall foliage, and decided on GW for a bite to eat...got the GW Burger, very simple, but, since thats what I wanted/ordered...it was perfect! Waitress was a bit MIA, so, a ding on rating for that. Cute place, decked out w George Washington pictures, etc. In the summer would be a great place to eat outside on their patio!

its a pleasant pub atmosphere, the wait staff is friendly and the place is often packed, which tells you how many people are uncritical. the food is a step up from diner fare, but the price point is higher. youll find lots of families with small children, and people who just want a quick bite. lots of better choices in the area.

One of my favorite places to go. I love sitting by the fire in the winter, or sitting outside in the summer. When people visit from out of town, this is where I take them for a relaxing meal in a cool place with great history. Great food and drink!

Been there many times and love this place. The atmosphere on a cold winters night cant be beat. A beer and a burger on the couch in front of the fire... I can taste it now. We live an hour away and its always worth the drive. 5 stars from our family.

great tavern restaurant in washighton depot. we were there for the first fire of the season after apple picking, and the cozy interior was the perfect place to warm up. the food is good--juicy burgers, chili, and salads, but nothing spectacular.

Food is consistently very good. Can be extremely busy at times, so reservations may be necessary, but weve been seated easily during off peak hours. Outdoor space is nice under a big tree.

Our first time there this evening and what a treat. I had the Kobe flank steak-just delicious. My wife had the burger and the fries were nice and hot. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Just keep driving to hidden valley eatery if youre looking for lunch or dinner on the weekend. If hidden valley is closed go to white horse. This place sucks.
