This is our second trip in the nine days since Namaste opened. The first trip was lunch and it was simply amazing. Fresh, flavorful, spicy, not greasy... all the things good indian food should be. They dont have a liquor license yet so everything is BYOB. Sounded like a perfect situation for a wine tasting so my wife and I rounded up 2 other couples and four bottles of wine and set off. We brought a rielsling, a torrontes, a pinot noir and a merlot. The meal started with Samosa and Samundri Kekra. The Samundri Kekra was awesome! Pairing it with the torrontes was delightful. The flinty taste of the torrontes complimented the sweetness of the crab meat perfectly! The samosas werent greasy or overcooked. The sweet raisin(?) sauce they served it with was perfect. Each couple ordered an entree. We had chicken vindaloo, lamb pasanda and paneer saag. Three words ... Oh my gosh!! Delicious! The chicken vindaloo was great with the riesling. The lamb pasanda was rich and spicy. It went well with the pinot noir. The paneer saag was outstanding. The pinot noir also complemented it well. Something a bit more fruity would have been a better choice for the saag. For dessert we tried the kheer, ras malai and gulab jamun. They were all excellent. The gulab jamun was my favorite. The sauce for the dumplings was exquisite. None of my wine selections paired well with any of the desserts. I would recommend a nice ice wine or a tawny port for the gulab jamun. Also like the wait staff. Raj, our server for both visits is from Nepal. Our waitress was from Colombia. Many of the remaining staff were either indian or pakistani. The multitude of accents made it feel like we were in a marketplace somewhere in India. Six of us ate three appetizers, three entrees, three orders of naan and three desserts. Everyone was pleasantly and comfortably full when we left. Total check before tip was $95. An amazing value considering the quality of the food. Long live Namaste!! Between Namaste, Somewhere in Bangkok and Asado Southington has a happening international restaurant scene!

Well my boyfriend and I had dinner at Namaste India today. It was the first time either of us had ever had Indian food. We had a Groupon for it and decided to give it a try. I was more hesitant to try it out but my boyfriend was excited. Looking through the menu took some time but we ended up getting the chicken curry(always wanted to try it) and chicken tikka. First of all everyone there was so polite and so freaking sweet and adorable. Second when they brought the food I was expecting just two entrees but instead there were many plates and we got to serve ourselves. It was just a really really REALLY great experience and the food was amazing. I especially loved the naan bread and tikka sauce. Ughhh I cant wait to go back and maybe try the buffet ☺️

Oh how I would LOVE to tell of a delicious, taste bud tantalizing experience... Unfortunately, that is not the case. After an expeditious seating in a half full restaurant, the minutes s l o w l y turned to one half an hour without so much as a glass of water. Aimlessly wandering waiters all the while, many an anxious diner (not just my party) attempting to politely garner attention. There you have it! If you plan on actually eating may I suggest somewhere, anywhere else. I say "Namaste " as in farewell to this purported fine dining establishment.

Ive been wishing for an Indian cuisine restaurant for the last decade in Southington. My wish was not only answered, but exceeded. The staff at Namaste are welcoming and attending. My glass was always filled with water and never became empty. Now the food was just incredible. The mix of spices was perfect in my Chicken Saag and the samosa appetizer was outstanding! I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. I ran into work the next day and told all my co-workers about this place. Thanks Namaste for the wonderful dining experience!

Really enjoyed the food and service with my wife. Prices were pretty affordable...so much that we will probably make this a regular stop instead of only special occasion visit. We had appetizers, entrees, and shared a vat of rice. I dont think we could manage a dessert, although a couple looked really good. Wine prices were fair and the service would have won us over even if the food were worse. Luckily, that wasnt the case...so it gets 5 stars.

The service and food were awesome. Cant remember our servers name, but he joked with my 2 and 5 year old daughters that he didnt have a brother and that he wanted to take our 4 month old son home so he would have a brother. Everyone found it very funny. We ordered Chana Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Malai Kebab, Raita and Naan. Everything was great. We dont eat out regularly, but we would definitely go back with family or friends,

Namaste India was one place were we used to take tasty food for granted even if food was costly compared to other places. Not anymore. Last night we did a to-go order and food was the worst of all time. The papad served was stale and Chicken tikka masala tasted like chicken curry (and chicken pieces were not tikka at all, all regular chicken). Dont know if they are compromising on quality for the ongoing Groupon deals.

Check your reciept!!!! Twice Ive gone here and ordered the same vegetarian dish and twice I had to tell them they over charged me a dollar compared to their pricing on the menu. This was over 2 months apart. I love their food, but this made me not want to return. I told staff and they said they would change it but they told me the same lines last time. Sorry guys your food is good but I dont like being played that way!

WOW! My wife and I just recently moved form NYC to Southington, CT. After getting tired of eating at other restaurants we decided to try Namaste India in our town (Southington). Food was excellent here. Staff and management gave great service. This place is becoming our once or twice a week place! be sure to try their seafood!

The food is good Indian food, nothing spectacular, but the service is VERY slow. We went for lunch buffet and it took nearly 45 minutes for them to refill the only chicken dish. Not sure if Ill go back. Id rather make the 2.5 hour trek to Boston to go to our favorite Indian restaurant (which is smaller)

We have been waiting for an Indian restaurant in Southington, or anywhere nearby! The food is by far the best tasting Indian food I have come across, and the staff are wonderful. The restaurant is clean, easily accessible and just plain incredible. We have been there 8 times in the last 2 months!!

Of all the Indian places in and around Hartford, I keep coming back to this one. One of the very few places in States I would say where you can feel the difference between a fish, chicken, and mutton curry. The description of the dish makes sense when you get down to taste it.

Im so happy that Southington finally has an Indian restaurant. Indian food is my favorite type of cuisine. I went to their Sunday buffet and really enjoyed it. The dishes were spiced beautifully, and the staff were very helpful and kind.
