Well I have been twice in the last two weeks. First time I dined there and it was better food than the one by my house. I will have to say that the two girls by the front door are lazy. Im pregnant and have a 20 month old they didnt even open the door for us. The server was ok but the trainee was more helpful. The chips tasted old and had a funny after taste like oil. Steak fajitas were good but for two orders we got only 4 tortillas has to ask for more. The flan was only good in the middle. The piña colada was awful (wasnt taken off the my bill)! I did take out the next time I order almost the same table side guacamole and steak fajitas. I asked for more tortillas which I got but I was told next time I would be charged. Yet, I was given a small half bag of chips not enough for the table side guacamole! Didnt really matter because the chips were so terrible my 20 month old son spit them out. They need to change the oil its so damn old!!!! Geez talk about cheap and lazy! Everything else was good but I wonder what else is old and needs to be cleaned. Well I guess I will be trying different El Torito.

My now ex and I wanted to have our last date at the same place we had our first date! Unfortunately we picked “Sunday Branch” at El Torito in March of 2015 - and it was awful. As much as our first meal of 10 years ego was enjoyable we were equally disappointed this time (we have patronized other El Toritos over the years). At $17.99 per person the food was overpriced considering the choice – it wasn’t even mediocre! With one Margarita and one beer it came to $60. What really made me angry was that my beer finally arrived at the end of my meal…and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy?!?! What’s up with that? Should I have tried then to enjoy my “Dose Equis XX” with those miniature cups of Flan or Rice Pudding – no way! The occasion didn’t influence my dining experience as we were both equally happy to split up and that’s why we chose to celebrate the occasion. I just can’t see myself eating there ever again – unless I get a free meal there – then the price would be right!

Me and 3 of my friends went here and ordered the family deal on fajitas. As soon as they brought the dishes, the rice and beans was so little that it finished literally in 30 seconds by 4 people. We ordered more and it took them 15-20 minutes of waiting and staring at the food to get us a tiny portion of rice and beans again that also finished in less than a minute. 2nd time took them another 15-20 minutes and our food was getting cold and we had lost the appetite. And guess what ? They brought the whole beans in its sauce(similar to canned beans) and not the fajita beans that are in the thick brown sauce. When I asked the server to bring the other type of beans that we are supposed to be served with fajitas he said "the chef said no and you have to finish this first" !!!!!!!! They made us either finish the wrong beans they served us or not get beans!!! We were mistreated here. And decided to ask for the check and left.

Ordered takeout. The woman on the phone, Ashley, had a hard time understanding what I was asking for, and an even harder time figuring out how to put it into their computer system. She explained that she was new and somehow the order system was new as well. It became pretty apparent she was in adequately trained. When I got there the order was made wrong. They couldnt seem to figure out how to make it right. At one point Ashley even stuck her fingers in the taco to see what was in there. She seemed to think I was going to take that taco extra she did that. Eventually somebody else came and work with Ashley to figure it out. They said I was going to have to pay more to get what I originally ordered. But ultimately I didnt. So they couldnt get the order right, couldnt fill it right, didnt know how to charge me right, and really the food was not very good. I will not be coming back here again!

My family and I went there on a Sunday because it was the only place that didnt have waiting time for a party of 8 in that area. Even though the restaurant was not busy and we told them beforehand we were extremely tired and hungry, we got our first appetizer dish 45 minutes after we sat at the table! The waiter (who was apparently on his first day) kept telling us that he would personally watch to make sure we will get our food soon nothing happened. The worst part is that we asked for the manager and nobody showed up! This place is a disaster. Even the food was mediocre. Dont waste your time and money there!

I love El Torito restaurants. This is the worst one by far. Three times in a row Ive had a terrible experience. Rude servers. Incompetent and uninvolved managers. Slow service. The bar is the worst. The bartenders will have a five minute conversation with a server while tickets line up. Theres none of work ethic you find at anybotherblocation. The bar has a ton of TVs but all but one are constatly playing infomercials. This is not one visit, but three in a row. Never going back here.

Too many onions. Hey should rename the place to El Oniono. Theres that and growing up in southern California. I think I can tell the difference between some authentic Mexican food and some doctored up and covered with onions not Mexican food. Let me put it this way. The dishes were named after some Mexican food and thats where it ended. I wont go there again.. other then that the waitress was fine and the atmosphere was fine. The prices for what I got were a bit much.

This MEXICAN RESTAURANT was one of the best , with mariachis and Mexican music ,... Now is own by a Chinese corporation , the food is low quality , if you know about POZOLE AND MENUDO youll notice the poor quality food, besides the music was pop music (Lady Gaga ) and they have an AMERICAN STYLE BUFFET FOR 24.99 WITH NASTY FOOD ..... They should change the name for EL TORITO BUFFET. .... THIS PLACE IS NOT A HIGH QUALITY MEXICAN RESTAURANT ANYMORE.

I used to really like this place. However, on this evening, everything went wrong. We sat at our booth for half an hour until I flagged a server down, he said "they would get someone." 15 minutes later, no one showed. This gave me 45 minutes to realize how dirty the restaurant was. The carpet was filthy and the server area was a disaster. Six of us got up, walked out, no one noticed and went to BJs down the street and had a 5 star experience.

Lunch time specials are awesome they have a buffet or a lunch menu you are able to pick a plate. I prefer the buffet to have different options to eat and you can walk to the food area and serve yourself any time. The dining area is usually not very crowded just average so there is plenty of room to sit and not have to wait for a table. Staff is nice and fast to help you get seated. Very nice location and service quality
