The place wasnt really all that bad. I was in town on vacation from Arizona. I was there Tuesday night celebrating my 50th Birthday along with my Sister and 2 very close friends from high school. These 3 have visited this establishment several times for they are from the area. At first, upon walking in, they made us feel welcomed and were attentive to our needs and answered my concerns for I have food allergies. Our server, dont recall ever getting her name, at first seemed like she was happy to have us. We 4 can be a very lively group. Well the moment a large party walked in, she was more attentive to them even though their group wasnt all there. She never came back to check on us. Never asked how our food was, nor if we needed anything. We were avoided as though we had the plague or something. Which turned turned my exciting time with friends and sister into a somber one. Teach your employees how they need to treat each of their tables with equal amounts of time and respect.

I have to be fair and say that when they initially opened the food was top notch! The service was good and the food came fast. Now after about 2 years, the place seems to be getting worse and worse. Even after I asked the waitress for a specific type of sushi roll, she got it wrong. To be fair, this waitress has been working there for at least a year now, Im surprised she did not know who I was. I always get the same roll. When I asked her about it she said that it was correct. I asked her again and even pulled the fish out of the roll to show her that it was made incorrectly and she said it was right. After about 2 tries I just gave up. I am very disappointed to say the least because I have been eating at this restaurant for at least 2 years now and they never got it wrong. But I dont know why the sudden change. Well Im not going back there again and neither should you.

**Salmon skin hand rolls are now $1.50 no longer $1.00** I tried a variety of nigiri and also the lobster feast roll and fried jalapeño roll. The fish was good--Ive had better but no complaints. I enjoyed the fried jalapeño roll! A must for cream cheese and jalapeño lovers. Salmon skin hand rolls are a bit salty, so you probably dont want to dip them in soy. Otherwise are tasty and worth the $1.50 Staff was on point and food was served quickly.

Its too bad north Upland couldnt have a finer sushi restaurant. The freshness here is hit and miss, depending on the fish you order and the day you order it. I ordered an iced tea that tasted more like water spiked with some aluminum and tin. If you cant serve iced tea, Id say dont attempt to serve fish. On another note, the manager we encountered was stubborn and unresponsive. Head south (east, or west), but steer clear from here!

Worst ever service seen in years. Waited for 20 minutes even two tables were empty. Requested server to please clean them up so we can be seated. She cleaned after multiple requests, and then made somebody else seated (who came after us) and started taking their order. Will not go to this place again. They dont know how to do business. Please avoid.

Great place. always good service and great sushi and rolls. My wife isnt a fish lover so she gets the chicken and its always good too. I eat here once a month, my guess is the negative reviews dont represent what most of us know which is this is one of the best sushi places in southern california and Ive tried a lot of them. happy eating!

I love this place. Ive been coming here for years. Thomas is really knowledgeable and brings in quality fish. All of the waitstaff are super friendly. Sushi portions are big so the price is fine in that regard. Its a nice Upland gem.

Good sushi and other Japanese foods here. Tasty and nice presentation. Tempura and unagi are also pretty tasty and well prepared (compared to the ones Ive had in Japan), as well as well priced. Great service too!
