I am 56 years old. I have eaten at fine restaurants all over the world. I have NEVER written a review because Im simply not that " into" food. However. .. my dinner tonight at Ivory was spectacular. Every mouthful was a mysterious combination of flavors that surprised and delighted me. They kept me guessing from one dish to the next... until my stuffed stomach was yelling no more no more. .. but my mouth was yelling more please more! My mouth won ... And I finished every morsel leaving nothing to take home. Kudos also to the staff who were all friendly warm and attentive. The ambiance was light and joy-filled. . As all the guests seemed as delighted as we were.

Friendly host + servers; definitely a lounge atmosphere but was quiet and charming. The food was absolutely delicious; started off with the house bread which is a garlic + parmesan bread (sourdough?). We then had the Wagyu meatballs topped on top of mashed potatoes (so good! 3 pieces) I had the Seafood Linguine (10/10) and my bf had the Duck breast with quinoa. I had the Savignon Blanc and he had the strawberry basil lemonade cocktail. Will come back again! One of my favorite restaurants in OC.

The restaurant was not busy but the service was poor and our waiter did not have nice manners. The beet salad was mostly cucumbers, although not explained on the menu as such. The salad came with too much dressing which covered the scallops so that was unappetizing. The sea bass was tasty but was a very small portion. Our appetizer plates were not cleared until after our meal, and it was a little, crowded table. We left hungry.

Pluses : One of the only places that would take reservations for a party of 7 on a Saturday night. Waitress was fantastic. I had some dietary needs they were able to address. Lovely ambiance. Minuses : Food was good but over priced for what it was. They didnt have heavy cream for coffee (only 2% milk) and the only option for a childs meal was a plate of plain Pasta and would not do a half portion of their seafood linguini.

Best appertizer.cute intimate restaurant tucked in a alley. Every dish we order was a wow from appertizer to dessert. Cant wait to come back again.

Excellent food and best halibut ever and Vince the waiter was on point. By the way the halibut was is recommendation. Way to go Vince you da man.

Great food and service but the A/C doesnt work well and we had to leave due to becoming overheated.
