3 Little Girls & A Mom
We decided to go to this restaurant for my sisters birthday last night because of hearing all of the "good" reviews. We had a party of nine so this should have been a good tip for our waitresses. Unfortunately, the service and food was disastrous. First, both of the waitresses were lagging tremendously on our service from start to finish. Second, the food was NOT great as these reviews describe. My dad actually had a HUGE bone in one of his chicken tacos and when we presented this to the waitress she just took it, didnt bother apologizing, nor offered to comp that plate. The refried beans were way too fried. My chimichanga was about the size of my small hand. And to top off our dinner, no one ever bothered to come by our table and ask, "how were things?" "Does anyone need a to-go box?" We literally were all standing up, watching these girls walk around us, ignoring us, and my mother had to say, "Excuse me, can you please bring us boxes?" Their answers all night were, "Oh. Yeah. Sure." Unfortunately, the good woman my mom is, she still tipped these two girls. If it were my bill, or any of the rest of us at this table, those two wouldnt have received a dime from any of us. Never going back to Don Luis again. Good luck on your food and service if you chose to.

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall. You walk inside and it doesnt look like a hole-in-the-wall anymore. They worked with what they got. I ate here several time while staying at El Rancho across the street. All the food was delicious, but my favorite is the tamales. Theyre big, meaty, and full of flavor. For some reason, the younger servers seemed oblivious to my presence. The older guy was cool. But, I definitely recommend this place to anybody, and everybody. In fact, Im going to go eat there as soon as I publish this review. Asta la vista, baby.

Best Italian restaurant Ive been to in YEARS. Ive eaten in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Rome, Venice, Florence, ... but Angelini Osteria is THE BEST. In the Disney move, Ratatouille, Chef Gusteau says "Anyone Can Cook!" While that is true, I think we can add to that "But no one can cook as good Italian food as Angelini." HONEST. I dont write very many reviews, but the food was fantastic. Had tuna carpaccio special, green lasagna and Torta di Nonna. Every bite of every dish was sublime. Ill fly down from San Francisco to eat there again!

This place is awesome! Recent food supply upgrade (as if previous food was not delicious) the owner here has upgraded all food suppliers to more natural raw materials without affecting cost and taste... well, taste is even better!! The staff is great, especially Emily she is the bomb. Always makes you feel like you are a guest at her home. Real family oriented place. You gotta try the Three Amigos Fajita Plate!!! $18.00 bucks but enough grub for two peeps or one BMW ( Big Mexican Woman) lol

Don Luis has been our family hangout for over a decade. We have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, and a lot of other ocassions here. Cozy, intimate, great down home good Mexican food, the kind your abuela would make. We had breakfast today and the portions were plentiful and service great. The price very reasonable. Try to find a place like this in the bay.....NOT!!!-

I called in my order for menudo and the homemade tortillas that I normally have while dining in. Picked up my food, drove all the way back home (French Camp) only to discover menudo was from a can and tortillas werent homemade. Called in and was informed "they ran out of the homemade stuff". Really??? Smh. Their food is great.....If youre getting the "real stuff".

Cold beer and some of the best Mexican food youll ever eat, guaranteed! The service is wonderful and the price is hard to beat. I highly recommend the # 8 combo, its the best of both worlds. They also serve an excellent breakfast with probably the best waffles Ive ever eaten. I recommend the Waffle Combo with beans and rice...try it, I know youll like it!

The majority of Mexican restaurants include tortillas with their breakfast but sad to say this place doesnt. Most American breakfast include pancakes or toast bread and this place doesnt. The food was good but there is another restaurant that is just as good and offers more for the same price.

Meh, much better mexican food restaurants in stockton. This place seems like its for old people or white people because everything is really bland and even the homemade tortillas are just whatever. Not a place id come back to or recommend but not the worst place in the world.

May not look like much from the outside, but this is a great family owned restaurant! Very generous people and portions. According to owner, everything fresh daily and purchased locally organic including the chicken, pork and beef. The only Don Luis that does breakfast also.

The salsa was great, but they cook their food with lard. They offer no kind of beef, except for carne asada. Service was mediocre and they charge $3 for an extra serving of chips ( even though we bought 5 meals). Overall, the food was low quality and not worth the high price

I went to the delta bistro solo and was pleasantly surprised to find out from my server that it was Downtown Restaurant Week and the were offering a three course meal for $20. It was their rib-eye steak entree at that! Regularly priced at $30. My server was Mary.

What a wonderful surprise. Have driven by and seen the signs and never stopped before. We definitely will again. Our entire party had fantastic food, the prices were excellent, and the service was polite and just enough. Nice to have a new place to go!

The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My nephew ordered the Luis special (breakfast). I sampled some if my mothers menudo, was something that took me back in time wishing I could have more room to order a bowl of that as well.

Terrible service! I cant comment on the food because I was verbally assaulted by our waiter. When I asked about a menu item, he told me that this was a five star restaurant that I should look at Google to answer my question. Will NOT return.

This restaurant is locally owned and operated by the same guy for over 30 years. My favorite is the fried chicken! They also have roasted chicken that is also great. But their fried chicken has had me coming back for more for four decades.

The food at Don Luis is exquisite. The owners make you feel at home. No matter who is working the place is always happy and comfortable. If you like healthy ingredients, this is your place. I highly recommend the Camarrones a LA Diabla.

I cant find many reasons to go TO Stockton, but whenever we go THROUGH Stockton, I make sure Im hungry when we get there. Their green chili is so good. Everything is fresh and we havent been disappointed in over ten trips.

Seating is in an open room, not crowded at all. The service was good and loved the food. I live out of state so only go there when visiting family but my sister likes it because its close and prices reasonable.
