Dealing with this restaurant was the worst experience of my life last night. We put on a fundraiser for Foster kids there for 120 people. The owner Jack started yelling at us before the event started, changing what was agreed upon and continued to be unprofessional and yelling all night at us. They didnt let our patrons park in the parking lot! They had encouraged us to have live music but then last night said they couldnt sing or play the music through the microphone! All of the performers had called in advance to check on the equipment too! They didnt provide the food we had agreed upon and paid for. Many people did not like the food either. They ran out of plates so served paper plates. The wine glasses they served were plastic and dirty! They said they would donate a $100 gift card and did not come through. A few days before the event they said we had $3,000 bar minimum and the night of said other people not in our event didnt count towards it. The night of said we had to have a 2 drink minimum per person also.They forced our people to wear wristbands that night to keep it separate. They said they had enough tables for our raffles but in the end we had to rent tables to bring in. They were completely unreasonable to deal with and did not keep their word. Both Cindy and Jack changed things the day of and were mean. I personally do not ever want to step in that place again! Ive never been so insulted and mistreated by a business owner.

I first went there in 1987 and was made welcome by the owners.I frequented the place for many years to follow.I returned there in 1994 after a spell in the UK and everybody remembered me , the food was better than before.My last visit was in 2007 and again i was remembered,the lady owner gave the chefs special,then she actuallyput on an apron went into the kitchens and made us a banana mousse, which was nothing short of perfection.I will always return there when i am in Newport Beach,i love it there.

My last review/visit was in 2010!!! Well one thing changed, the prices loll. Prices are definitely more expensive, everything sitting at $10 and over, but thankfully you still get a big portion so I dont feel like Im getting ripped off.Got the wings, fried tofu, fried fish and curry conqueror as we werent super hungry, then got the mushrooms and Mao pap rice to go.Appetizer portions are a little small for the price compared to the dinner meals being about the same price with huge portions.

Having an event at CP was probably one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. Me and a group of 70+ of my friends had a formal event there and all I can say about CP is that it was amazing. The catering service was phenomenal, the bar service was just as great and the environment was spectacular. Everyone who attended the event said that they had a wonderful experience here. If you plan on every hosting an event here, you will not regret it. I high recommend CP.

Its weird, but not in a bad way. Not crowded (ever), no need to valet, nice patio albeit right on PCH, and a strange mix of cuisines, modern and retro stuff going on. Sushi and Chinese and some American fare, shabu-shabu set ups at the bar which also has big TVs for menu item display (who does this in US these days?), Video Fishtank, and Sports too. Oh, and a ping pong table. Food is good - not stellar but not three star caliber either.

the worst experience i have ever had in a resturaunt. the staff was rude and our waiter took a long time to even bring out our drinks that looked nothing like what we asked for. the people sitting next to us who got there after us got their food wayy before we even got our soup. and when the food did come out it tasted like cheap take out. i will never return to this place and i suggest you dont either.

Last Night Monday, We went to CP Restaurant for celebrating my friend Amys 40th Birthday, we had Sushi, CP signature Mai Tai and watching my football team Jet against to Colts,I ordered the paradise roll, so fresh and no rice is good for my diet, and the Mai Tai is so wonderful. And they add the new toy Table tennis, we play double after dinner, so good, would be back, for sure!

They have a wonderful vegetarian menu - Ive sampled all the tofu dishes now and I can say I love them all. Havent made it to the regular menu, but this is a place that is sure to have you coming back for more. They have a great bubble tea selection - my stand by flavor is Lychee-Peach.

Good happy hour specials! We took advantage of $5 margaritas and 20% off sushi. All the staff were super friendly, the sushi was delicious and very fresh. We were happy with everything we ordered! Not super busy on a random week night and would definitely recommend to anyone!
