Tasty food. Generous portions. Bargain pricing (under $10 including tax & drink). AND legit boba drinks! In addition, they offer slushes and various flavors of chewy jelly. China Star has been our local go-to place for years. I usually see a lot of customer diversity. When we catered a party, many of our guests (Caucasian, Asian, Black, Hispanic, Indian) raved about the food. And their chow mein noodles are particularly delish, albeit a little greasy. (They look identical to other Chinese take-out noodles -- but trust me, there is a significant difference in flavor.) Ive tried so many Chinese take-out places over the years and in many different locales. And the food at almost every place looks better than it tastes. Thats why you should give China Star a shot. Well... unless you LIKE bland food, I suppose. Im sure there must be other gems like China Star, but I havent found them yet -- Im just so thankful to have this one close by! If you give them a try, I hope youll enjoy them as much as we have. Happy eats! =9

Fan-freakin-tastic. Yes, I giggle as being a little schoolgirl every time period I say the name from the place, but after that we start having visions connected with shumai and BBQ chicken buns. If youre not Asian you might stand out, and they will barely be able to understand what you desire when ordering. Also, they will probably be out of some of the favorites, and if youre such as me its hard to express to what they actually DO have to order! However, not withstanding those people problems, everything here is super yummy, and AFFORDABLE! Next time I just may inform them to give me among everything they got, then take inventory and also post it on Yelp so everyone can actually have a clue what to get, haha!

I really love this place. I discovered it almost 20 years years, and loved their great food and cheap prices. Ive recently re-discovered it after moving back to the area, and everything is still great - food, prices, and service. The people are really friendly, the food is really tasty. I absolutely love their Pho. I cant find it anywhere else around here, and their broth is really good. Even my 3- and 4-year old love this place. Definitely the best bet for take out Chinese or Vietnamese. I only wish they were open later at night, since I usually get a craving for pho around 9:30 PM.

I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THIS PLACE AND WAS SICK FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND IM STILL FEELING DIZZY AND MY ENERGY LEVELS GOT TOTALLY DRAINED. I HAD DIARRHEA AFTER EATING THE FOOD, AND I BECAME SUPER CLUMSY AFTERWARDS!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! DONT EAT HERE IF YOURE DRIVING A VEHICLE!!!!!! ITS REALLY DANGEROUS FOOD!!!!

If you love the Americanized versions of Chinese food then you will be disappointed here. Dishes are more true to authentic southern China recipies. Food is reasonably priced. Pho is also served.
