You are what you say you are a Donut Star! I have been looking for a donut shop for a long time. I think my favorite one is still in Riverside. Making donuts is a lost art. Sure there are a lot of donut chains and like In N Out they are all overhyped. I really loved donuts but Krispy Kreme and their double glazed doesnt work. I want a donut that is light and airy sweet but not chunky like it was made out of bread dough. It shouldnt be greasy like it was made in French fry oil. As you can tell I am a donut snob. I should be eating donuts but when I do it should be just right. Unfortunately, Donut Star falls into that category I try to avoid. The donuts taste like bread dough with frosting. The presentation is great but the taste is blah. The thing that saves this place for me is the non donut items. I found myself here a few times after a doctor appointment and I was killing time before work. I know thats funny eating a donut after going to the doctors. I went to McDonalds a few times for the breakfast and maybe I am getting old but its disgusting. I dont eat fast food often and when you go back to McDonalds the salty and sugar meals make you want to blow up from the front and back. Good thing I found Donut star and the breakfast croissant. Not the best but it will do. Everything on the menu looks good but I like the breakfast croissant with egg and ham. Pair that with a coffee and a chocolate donut and you are set! I always get a donut haha. I cant help it. I only recommend Donut star if you are in a hurry and dont have many options. Also if you want a quick breakfast stop come here because it is good and you can support a local business. I think the owner is a doctor because I saw her business cards but I could be wrong. Man I gotta hurry and start a business and stop working for the man. I want to be the man. Anyways I will go back for now I will also be on the lookout for new donut joints with regular donuts and not fancy creations.

Great little spot for donuts and coffee at any time of day or night. There are 7 tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating if youd prefer that. Theres a pair of outlets in one corner of the store - would recommend bringing an extension cable or a splitter, because otherwise you may find yourself competing with IVC or UCI students trying to charge their devices. Few things to note: Theres a $2 minimum if youre using card. Their bagel/croissant/panini sandwiches are only available from 7AM to 2PM daily. Theyll keep on selling bagels until theyre out, though. Updated: 12/08/15 for sandwich hours.

Went at around 11pm, no one else ordering. I had never been and I was excited because of all the great reviews. On first visits I tell the employee I have never been and 99% of the time get a friendly suggestion or conversation. I felt rushed even though I was the only one there, and I hate feeling as though Im a hindrance. Wont be going back at night, may try again during the day.

Its great! We love going there around 3am when we want something sweet! The guys who works there are very nice!! We go in the mornings ....... nice people who work there! :-) i wont go any where else to have a great Sweet treat!!.. i just went there and bought some treats!! Love them! Ill enjoy them!

Donuts and bagels combined are you kidding me?! How awesome is this combination!!! I went in there and I had such a wonderful experience its definitely busy sometimes but the crew really handled it well. Definitely get a 5 star rating for customer service and taste.

Excellent. Corey is awesome. Very polite, excellent donuts, some that I never knew exsisted. Good place to sit with your laptop as long as you have your own Hotspot. Next door Starbucks turns their wifi off intentionally I suppose.

Great 24-hour donut shop with a sandwich menu beyond most donut shops. Vegetarian sandwich options available. Late-night selections are sometimes a little limited, though.
