I really only have one complaint and that is the wait time can get long. Buuuut, its worth the wait. BEST breakfast ever!! I think my hubby convinced me to move to GV with the breakfast here. Everything Ive had has been good. Great coffee. Amazing fresh juices. Good portions. Good service. Go!! If its the one dining experience you have in GV it should be this place! I prefer the Nevada City location for some reason but the seating is a little tighter there. Do get the jalapeño hollandaise on the breakfast potatoes. Youll thank me. ;)

Very good food and large portions. Had a good breakfast burrito, were good in making it vegan (traded cheese for beans, and vegan bacon). The portabela shitake scrambled was good as well. Very good cold pressed apple carrot ginger, and iced laté. Pretty loud and busy at peak lunch time but nicer towards 14:30. Service was good. Prices could be cheaper. All in all a good place for brunch. Ps- its time to introduce vegan cheese & vegan burgers guys!

The food is good, the lobster benedict is very tasty. The problem with this place is the service. Many times you have to wait for 40 minutes just to get a table then they make you wait for another 10-15 mins to take your order. I dont recommend this place if you dont have at least 2h for lunch. I dont give a better raiting because the way the waiters ignore you is not polite at all.

The food is high quality, but overpriced. Ive been to the south pine on three different occasions. Each visit has been painful. Expect to block off 2 hours of your day towards waiting, and being ignored by your waiter. I really dont see why this place is popular. You can go to charlies down the street for half the price and twice the service.

excellent food, service, and atmosphere completely make up for the occasional wait and slightly-higher-than-normal expense of this fine establishment. in my personal experience, the grass valley location exceeds that of nevada city in terms of food quality and personable serving staff. love the vegan blt.

We stopped in for breakfast and glad we did, we left a another place because they left us to sit in a hot mid-room while they got a table for us after 15 minutes of sweating, we left and came here, was seated right away, staff was very friendly, and fast, food was perfect and we left full and smiling.

Food smells good and takes a while... Come here anticipating you may be hungry, because it may take a moment for food. Service is good, they just take time. Food is good and will bring me back for a second try.

This is our one and only breakfast place. Quality food, natural and organic. The staff is lovely and treats us like family. A week where we dont have breakfast at South Pine is a week wasted.
