Im so torn on this place. I have fond memories of driving here after work when it first opened; enjoying the atmosphere while sipping a beer and thinking, "wow this place is unlike any other place in the neighborhood". Sadly those days are fading away. I went here just last Thursday and was sorely disappointed. The service was great, the girl with red hair and glasses was so funny and full of personality. However the food is lacking. They served toasted (I use that term lightly) white sandwich bread with our artichoke dip. Making it hard to scoop up the dip since the bread was still soft in the middle. It lacked the crunch that I associate with artichoke dip. Lastly our pizza was burned right down the center. I smothered it in ranch to hide the taste. My friend and I camped at a table for a few hours (they were not busy) and caught up. At some point we had to ask our server if they could turn the music down. Far too loud for a not so busy place. Before we left we visited the ladies room. We were disappointed at the condition of the bathrooms. 1 out of the 5 stalls was safe to use. After taking turns to do our business we hurriedly got our jackets and left. As we walked outside I noticed that were was a "notice in change of ownership" sign posted outside. I surely do hope thats a sign of good things to come for this place.

My family and I have been going to this precious jewel for a couple of months. I found it through a friend of mine who recommend it to me. The atmosphere is excellent. The food is fantastic because it is farm-to-fork and they change the menu 4 times per year accordingly to the season. The staff members are friendly and they know the menu very well. The drinks are fantastic and refreshing. They have a private room called "Churchill Room" because the big portrait of Winston Churchill. I had plenty of business meetings in that room. It is quiet, private and it has access to connect your computer to their TV for a presentation. If you look at it from the outside it looks different to the inside. It is a beautiful place inside. A long Bar with nice tables and plenty of TVs and if you do not like music or TVs while you are dining, they have a section that has neither. The people who recommend it to me was right about this place. Now my family and I do not have to travel to downtown Sacramento, Folsom or Roseville area for a good dinning experience. We have Stirling Bridges.

Today was a sad day. My BF and I have been coming to Stirling Bridges for 2 years. Usually when we walk in the waitress and bartender recognize us, even ask about my kids. When our friends and family come to visit, Stirling Bridges was where we took them to eat. When we had birthdays or work meetings, Stirling Bridges was our first choice. About 30 minutes ago my BF walked in there waited 5 minutes to be seated (never, ever waited before) we sat near the fireplace. Waited an additional 10 minutes without being acknowledged by any staff. Suddenly the DJ shows up and begins rearranging tables to suit his gig. We decide to move not wanting to be close to the loud music. We moved and my BF went to find a staff member to let them know we moved and had been waiting an obscene amount of time and the waitress rudely tells my BF to " give them a second" we wait about 5 more minutes and leave. In combination with them screwing with the whole menu and changing it from a pub to a sports bar were done.

We are regular customers at Stirling Bridges since it opened. We love the atmosphere and the great supply of beer. Lately, however, we have disappointed with the food. The beef stroganoff used to served with fettuccini. Same with the chicken alfredo. Some time ago they switched the pasta to cavatappi, and its just not the same. We no longer order those items. My other gripe is that too often the food comes out lukewarm - - not hot! Last night the corned beef, cabbage and redskin potatoes were not hot. A week or so ago the lobster ravioli was not hot. A month or two ago the seafood special was salmon. I ordered it, and it came out hot, but the two sides, rice and vegetables, were lukewarm. A couple months ago I had the sliced tri-tip French dip and the meat was very gristly. I still like the place for the atmosphere, but the food right now is mediocre. Walter L.

If I could give it a "zero," I would. What happened to the friendly, bustling Stirling Bridges where we enjoyed business meetings and birthday parties? My husbands surprise birthday party in May was a total disaster. I was humiliated. For a charge of $189, we were given raw cod wrapped in foil with uncooked frozen vegetables. 2/3 of our guests returned their plates and did not receive decent dinners in exchange. Service was so incredibly terrible, I didnt know if I should laugh or cry. No one came to take drink orders or ask if we wanted appetizers. I had reserved this evening and had had three conversations with the chef about what I wanted for this special event. I will never go back.

I was here, want to the restroom where I ovetheatd rap.music on the feed. It was uncensored and very offensive. Stopped at the bar asked for the manager and explained my concern with uncensored rap music which included the use of the N word in the song. He was very unconcerned with what I was saying and his only reply was hed take my concern under consideration. I have not been back to this establishment since. I wish there was a way to leave zero stars sadly there is not.

The place is beautiful..Clean and very upscale. The staff friendly and helpful and patient! I heard there were top notch chefs there and maybe they need more assistants and runners. One order we had was cold..The ribs. We were not charged though. Few of us had the chicken saltambuco. Excuse spelling. It was good but the pasta with it could have been more AL dente. Will go again and order the steak and shrimp. .Looks good. DJ was great! Went on a Sat night.

My Husband and I have been eating here almost every Friday since it opened.. Last Friday we took my parents with us to check out our favorite restaurant.. We were shocked and very disappointed to find they are not longer serving Fried Pickles or the Chopped Salad that are the biggest reason we ate there.. They explained that they are no longer a British Pub and are now a Bar and Grill.. They menu has changed to reflect that... We will probably never go back

Nice looking on the inside but nothing special. I thought the bartender was a bit rude and phony. I dont know why they changed from a British pub to a bar and grill? They stop serving food at 8pm, I would have expected them to serve food till at least 12. Not much of a bar and grill to me. Maybe Ill stop by in the afternoon and grab a beer and try their food sometime, but definitely not a place to go late at night for good bar food and drinks.
