Great people Day time catch up on events from Santa Anita or the friendly conversation with locals or even the great bartenders have some interesting stories. Been a regular for about 8 years now its awesome warming place to be. At night, Wednesday is 80s rock starting at 9pm, the Cabin Fever band with Jimmy Volpe A must see. Thursday thru Saturday is Pat OBrien and the Priests of Love, good blues / claasic rock for a fix of Jimi, Stevie Ray, and original blues. if your a smoker theres now a smoking area in back , if youre a non smoker no more going home smelling like an ashtray. What a great bar. I travel 10 months a year and have the opportunity to experience quite a few establishments in a miriad of cites and this one is one of the best. The staff is courteous and the band, oh my the band was very good. The only reason I didnt rate the First Cabin a five is the fact that is a bit small. I felt like I was in a cave but the rest of the experience certainly made up for its size. Yes if you get a chance you have to check out the First Cabin. Thanks to the staff who made me feel like a regular.

Yup its all true. Found this place when sitting in another neighborhood bar and the bartender mentioned this place as thier local hangout. Came on a Wednesday, the bad was nothing but fun. With a decent ear you can hear the inside jokes they play on each other musically. Didnt want to leave but you know, work night and all. I will be back, too good to miss.

Tip: you can bring your own food to Shandys since they dont serve any.But dont be a poop face - make sure to take your trash with you when you leave.The bartenders are pretty great and the drinks are even better. That said, you should never go on a Thursday.I do not need it to be all crowded when I go for happy hour.

Never seen such an awesome selection of fried chicken. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor, drinks are on point and good vibes all around. This place puts roscoes to shame. The Nashville is a must if you like food with a kick. Also the Mac n cheese! Full bar which is a nice touch cuz I like to drink.

One the best bars Ive been to hands down. If you go Sunday - Tuesday and have the pleasure of getting tended to by Phil consider yourself lucky. Wednesday - Saturday they have great live music.

Its the neighborhood bar. Dark, dingy, filled with locals. Fair prices for drinks that are over filled with alcohol no matter what you order; but is that such a bad thing?
